quote:maybe that was his intentions in the first place. He didn't mean to kill the trees. It was an unintentional result of him trying to spike the Auburn water table. He had good intentions
That is not to mention that the chemicals might spread throughout different parts of campus.

SO can we confirm yet that he didn't even go to Bama as was speculated early on here?
Well you just described 96.3% of all Alabama fans.

Has Nick Saban made any official comments reprimanding the actions and that this is not how 92% of Alabama fans feel?
Kind of like Obama apologizing for the US in Middle East when he was a candidate for president.

Glad they made an arrest. Pretty sad that someone would want to ruin their life for college football.

Nick Saban could care less about the trees in Toomer's corner, Bear Bryant's legacy, or the first four notes of "hold that tiger" He's in it for Nick Saban and secretly thinks that all crazed SEC football fans are true idiots..FACT

You dont go to jail for 10-20 for criminal mischief.
Those trees werent monumental. Theyll be forgotten once new ones are planted.....................in 3 to 5 years.
Haha well it wont matter much, they shouldnt have much to celebrate this year. And they shouldnt have a football team the year after.

They are saying the soil will be effected for up to 7 years and have no plans to replace at this time as it would poison the new trees. I am not sure what a thorough removal of soil could do to speed that up.
From my rudimentary understanding of soil science, that wouldn't do any good either. At this point it has saturated fairly deep, and it would do no good to remove that much. That would be a massive earth moving project.
