1944 Army

1945 Army

1946 Army

Army looks staaaked. Lacy and Yeldon may be tough, but these cadets saw Tiger and Panzer tanks.

Alabama's '45 was stacked as frick. Much better claim to a NC than the '41 team.

No one was going to frick Army out of a championship in '45, however.

Georgia should have been champion

We were actually declared national champs by the Williamson poll, that season.

Army did a damn good job from '41 - '45. Won a shite ton of road games in Europe and Asia.

Maybe some guys from the '46 class did, but most of the West Pointers in '44 and '45 had not seen combat.

Stat wise our most dominant team ever. The closest to come to beating them that year was Georgia and the final score in that game was 28-14. The media begged and begged Army to accept an invitation to the Sugar Bowl to play Alabama but Army chose not to go bowling that year. We went to the Rose Bowl instead and annihilated USC.
