Drink and his personality would be a terrible fit at Arkansas.

If personality fit is the criteria, Arkansas has few options.

Pittman is clearly the better coach. This thread is stupid.

Arkansas saw what drink could do and chose an offensive line coach. drink wouldn’t have lasted this long here.

The program had suffered 3 seasons with 1 sec win and needed someone who had a history of recruiting here and desire to build a program. We chose the adult. Sam has done what he was hired to do and if he leaves we’re in much better shape than when he arrived.

mizzou will be the same as Odom left it if drink leaves.

My point is if personality fit with Arkansas folks is a criteria, limits options. Agreed Pittman was a better fit based on that criteria.

It wasn’t about personality it was about potential. People were sick of losing and chose the man with best chance of building the program back. Neither was considered a championship coach but we needed a man not a baby faced smartass to get us out of the dumpster fire we were in.

We made the right choice between these 2.

Agreed, Arkansas made right choice for their program and criteria. I said that earlier.

It's amazing how much Mizzou posters hype up that non playoff bowl win over Ohio State's 3rd string QB.

Why are you saying that? Like you are hoping Drinkwitz will leave Mizzou. I am seeing he is a guy that will end up staying just like Gary Pinkel.

No, not at all, he’ll be there as long as you tolerate him because he has no other options and I’m good with that and actually don’t care.

He’s not nearly on the level as pinkel was and he’ll return to your hot seat again before you know it like he was last year preseason. Sooner or later he’ll face some formidable schedules so his good times will be over.

Enjoy them while they last, looks like next year’s schedule is the same only games will switch locations. No one will respect him until he starts playing somebody and winning those games instead of losing.

I disagree about Odom comment. Odom is a fine coach but not a great recruiter. Too much talent coming out of STL area. Drink has closed some of those gaps.

I’m not trying to be a butthole here but didn’t drink have the same types of records as Odom until nil and the portal kicked in? Odom is doing pretty good at unlv with these new rules. Just an observation…..

He just started to become a HC. Pinkel was the HC at Toledo. Drinkwitz just got more 4* for Mizzou for the first time ever in one recruiting class. That is why he is going to be able to compete when he starts getting those 4* recruits. 8 4*s and 1 5* is a very good class for Mizzou. Do that 2 more times and then add the transfer portal players. Getting good depth and good backups. That is what was missing from Gary Pinkel. Mizzou will be a lot better in a couple of years when those 4* recruits are playing on both sides of the ball. Not just 1 on one side and 2 on the other side. Plus he is still learning. Kansas has a good HC. He just needs to go where he can get plenty of 4* crecruits. to compete every year. Mizzou is set with Drinkwitz. Arkansas will have to try to pull one from Kansas or some other program that has a good HC but does not have a good football program due to being in a lousy conference and/or not having a strong NIL/boosters.

He’s shite ! do the right thing and hire Pinkle back you fired him when he had cancer thats a shitty thing

You have to be a big sixer to think like that.

Missouri would never have fired Gary Pinkel. There would have been major push back from the fans.

Not having a cupcake schedule is the main difference. drink has benefited tremendously with your fanbase loving him so much but no coaching vacancies are perusing him so he’s yours as long as you want him. At least he quit calling plays for y’all, that helped.

Drink has our number. But I am being 100% sincere when I say this... I would rather lose to Mizzou yearly than have Drink on our sideline.

If I had to choose between hiring Drink or rehiring Butch Jones, I’d rehire Butch. Not even kidding.

You're a retard though?

It's hilarious how jealous everyone is of Drink

The number one complaint I see on this board is how players just don't have effort every game, how they opt out etc.

Drink has had almost none of this nonsense. The team has been up for every single game no matter how "hopeless" or "meaningless"

Every team in this conferences WISHES they had Drink as coach.
