Misery is insignificant. I live in the KC area. People ask me often what we think about Misery joining our league. My answer is always the same: we don't really care one way or the other. Never thought much about them before and won't much in the future either. They bring nothing to the league in the way of competitiveness, tradition, or championships. A trip to Columbia is not and should not be high on anyone's list of things to do. It's right up there with Lubbock or Waco.
We don't want or need any "rivalry" with Misery. Hard to get worked up over a pathetic school that stands no chance of threatening us or even being competitive.
Face it, Arkansas is the better program all-around. Once Mike Anderson's players leave Misery, they will return to their rightful place in the bottom half of the conference. And once Mike Anderson cleans up the mess left to him, Arkansas will be among the conference and national elite. And I can guarantee they won't make the Final Four for yet another year. Losers.
We're better. We know it. They know it. They want to be like us. But they will never achieve that level of greatness.
