You suggesting we have a pass defense? Rutgers offense was a steaming pile of shite, they converted long third downs like they were our offense last year.

Man if he can hit a receiver who's open by 10 yards then you'll move the ball, trust me. We give all receivers a 10 yard cushion, and when we don't, we don't bother to turn around and find the ball anyway.

Believe it or not our talent level is better this year than it was last year.
It's just that we have an OC that lets the defense know on every play whether we are going to run or pass.
and
Paul Haynes does not know how to defense the forward pass.
Name one team, high school, college, semi-pro, arena league, or NFL, where the offense lets the defense know it is going to pass or run.
how the frick do you expect to win with that level of coaching??

How do you blame Long for a failed experiment? We were all happy with the hire. Not 1 SEC team would have kept Petrino after what he did so get over that. That's not the issue. He tried to save the season and it failed. I will take Long all day over an AD who allowed Nutt to stay on campus for 10 fricking years.

I think this meltdown happens with Petrino at the helm still. This team can not hold a lead, this is worse than Crowe's first year.

Long will make a good hire, that much I am sure of. Plus Football is one aspect of his job. Long has done alright by this university in everything he's done. If he were fired, he would have a job the next day with a powerhouse program. You fire Long and we'll regret that for a long long time.

There was a reason Stanford came calling. The best overall program in the country knows what it is doing. I think Long was dealt a horrible hand and made best thing he could have.

You talking about Bobby? No way in a million years. We still lose to Bama but that's a given. We lose to Bama by 21 at the most as well. We're still 3-1 and top 15 with BP on campus. But screw it because that's with BP not being BP. Petrino still deserved to be fired and I'm still glad Long did what he did. Long is the best thing to ever happen to this university and we need to keep him here a long time. He will make a slam dunk hire that we will all be happy with. No way he stands for 10 years of mediocrity under one coach like the former AD did.

if Bobby Petrino was here we would be 3-1 instead of 1-3. Houston Nutt teams never gave up even when down by a lot. This team gives up and quits has no leadership. The discipline and leadership is gone from the team and whatever good coach we could have brought in here is long gone now.
We will get and take a Gus Bus type hire and love it.
