Amazing how the Hogs seem to be the only team that can improve from a previous year. Guess that's cause they have so far to go.
Bama does have to start over at QB, but in that system, the QB doesn't have to win games, they just don't have to lose games. Arkansas hasn't had that luxury and probably still don't have it this year.
I also love how Tyler Wilson has a great game against a poor secondary (Auburn)...still didn't win the game, BTW, and yet, he is now going to do something Mallett couldn't do. From what I saw and hear, his spring game performance wasn't that much better than those horrible QB's at Bama...
And talk all you want about how the SEC West finished last year, but, Bama beat you at your place after letting you have your fun for a half, and then completely demolished one of the tri-champions of the vaunted Big X who's laughing stock against the SEC, tOSU, beat you.
That's why they play it on the field and the Hogs will have their chance.
Until you prove it on the field, you'll always be making these claims coming out of spring.

Nobody is saying that we are the only team getting better. But we are making HUGE strides, yes, partly because we had so far to go from the Nuttin' but Fun era. Oh, we had our time with a 'my QB just has to 'not lose' the game for us'. Worked out great.

The Hogs have improved every year under Petrino, no reason to believe it can't happen again this year too. Not very often we've had our program trending upwards, just allow us to be optimistic for now.
And yes, Wilson hasn't proven he'll be solid but based on Petrino's history of college QB's I think he's earned the benefit of the doubt. Wilson was the first recruit he called when he was hired, he obviously thinks highly of TW as do most Hog fans.

So far to go? In our 2 regular season losses, we had the lead in both in the 4th qtr. That does not = far to go.

Knile Davis led SEC RB in rushing. He is the leading returning rusher in the SEC this year.
That is luxury

This thread came from an article written by a writer at CFN.
Email that guy if you want to piss & moan.

And ksrph, if you want to talk a little smack, we can do that too.
But first, why don't you worry about winning the championship of YOUR OWN STATE, and then worry about the Hogs.
Just a little 'smack talk' for your pleasure.

Don't have to talk smack. Bama has proven it on the field time and time again.
Auburn beat Bama last year, but, Auburn beat everybody last year. At least our super-coach doesn't lose to your "helmet-lovin' worst coach ever" on a regular basis.
All I'm saying is the same thing that everyone else is saying, until Arkansas proves something, this great boasting early every year is becoming comical.
BTW, I have a degree from your favorite university and lived in the state for 13 years. I think this stuff is because the Hogs want to be a big boy so bad they can't stand it.

JJ threw for 4 TD's over the 12 game season. Wilson threw for 4 TD's against Auburn in his 2.5 quarters of play. JJ threw for 3 TD's verse A@M in the bowl game.
Credit to Miles and the LSU coaches for doing do well with such poor play by the QBs.
When Les had a 1st rd draft pick at QB,LSU destroyed Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl. Petrino didn't do as much wih Mallet.

We did not write the article. Everyone calls hog fans delusional, and when someone in the media gives Arkansas some credit everyone starts screaming and crying into their pillow. It will be hard for anybody to win the west next yeat, but it is not impossible for the hogs to do it.

Wilson will make the offense better because he will make better decisions than R.M. Wilson may not have his arm,but he will have the ability to avoid sacks better than R.M.

To ar kansas fans, you managed to embarass the SEC last year, losing no doubt to Ohio State. shut your pie hole, you aunt winning nothing!

Arkie is going to dominate after winning three (3) bowl games in the past 19 (nineteen) YEARS! RIGHT!!

I would confidently say that OT and QB go hand in hand. If one is a question mark, mainly OT, it will adversely affect the newcomer QB. No flaw in my line of thinking there. Now, if OT comes out super solid, and Wilson is good... that changes everything. As far a speculating goes, you can't claim that Wilson is set to step in and win big with a question mark at OT. That's flawed logic, and is a dangerous expectation.

Seems that I remember the Barn beating y'all, what, 5 years in a row pretty recently? I'm not talking about a one year deal...
Not quite sure what you are trying to say about teh 'helmet lovin' coach', but he's not at Arkansas any more.

Too bad you have zero depth at tailback. If Davis goes down your season will be same ole.
Posted on 4/23/11 at 2:42 pm to alange
Dennis johnson and Ronnie Wingo say hi.

You see, this is what I mean about 'not paying attention'.
Heck, Davis is in danger of not even being the starter this year. Wingo came on strong this spring, had a better spring than Davis. And Dennis Johnson is a touchdown waiting to happen just about any time he touches the ball. Plus he is very dangerous as a kick returner. That said, I do hope Davis stays healthy and picks up where he left off - but we do have depth at RB.

I wouldn't say that Arky has no depth at TB but Wingo and Johnson haven't shown they are as dangerous as KD.
