My honest opinion is that our defense will be better than last year, but so will LSU and Bama...and they will still be well in front of us. I think our D line will be better than either of theirs

Talking smack is always fun, but most teams flounder when picked to do well. There are the traditional powerhouse teams that do back up their preseason rankings.

Take the National Champions, not picked to do a whole lot. So when we finish the season with an Iron Bowl win over the previously undefeated Crimson Tide and win the bowl game to finish with only 2 losses, Zero Auburn Fans will be surprised.

It's not the exact rotation, but it should be good enough for a message board pissing match. The secondary is always a big concern, but atleast we have some experience returning. The biggest positive for the secondary, J. Jefferson will be the best QB wwe face in the SEC. Ofcourse that depends on if Garcia gets out of rehab.

Bryan Jones 6-2 312 soph
DeQuinta Jones 6-5 307 soph
Robert Thomas 6-3 325 soph
Lavunce Askew DT 6-3 290 Sr.-3L
Alfred Davis DT 6-1 326 Jr.-2L
Jeremiah Jackson DT 6-3 281 So.-SQ
Zach Stadther DT 6-1 295 Sr.-3L
Jared Green DT 6-0 315 Sr.-SQ
David Hurd OT 6-6 300 Jr.-SQ
Jeremiah Jackson DT 6-3 281 So.-SQ
A.J. McCray DT 6-2 320 Fr.-RS

Tenarius Wright DE 6-2 252 Jr.-2L
Jake Bequette DE 6-5 271 Sr.-3L
Will Coleman DE 6-3 253 So.-SQ
Colton Miles-Nash DE 6-6 261 Jr.-2L
Chris Smith DE 6-3 251 So.-1L
Michael Villegas DE 6-4 238 Jr.-SQ

People won't be laughing at our D-line once the season starts. There is a reason why they were picked as the preseason second best unit.

LINK

Obviously you can take oden and broderick green off there

I expect elton ford to start over bennett though since he is a senior...he played decent as a freshman 3 years ago

Idk why people laugh at our DL though...the only team that can is south carolina since they were the only team with more sacks last year

Don't sleep on Tyler Bray. We get Tenn at home and should be able to handle them soundly, but I could see Bray passing for over 200 yards on us and if we don't take care of the ball it could be a ball game.

A better DL will make for a better secondary.

The coaches feel good enough with the DEs that Nash may be moved back to TE.

State, LSU, and Bama all have better dlines. No one is scared of little Bequette or D.D Jones.
