Y'all had a proven National Championship caliber guy who has proved he could win big in the SEC. I don't think Beilema is on the same level as Saban was

A&M why do you think its going to stay good? Prove yourself after Johnny Football as an SEC program
While I agree with your overall point of proving that we can compete even after the GOAT moves on, how should aggie fans feel right now? Sumlin took a team with similar talent as Sherman's 7-6 Big 12 team and won 11 games in the SEC. So I have confidence in that and the recruiting is looking great. You tell me why any aggie should feel we will not stay at the very least competitive.

Yeah, because Bert is better. 3 Rose Bowls. Saban didn't do shite in the Big 10. Bert pretty much dominated it when Ohio State was in the NCG or not eligible for postseason play. He made Russell Wilson what he is today too.

Call me crazy but as a fan, it's what have you done for me lately. Not 25 years before I was born.

SECr before the season told us that we'd be terrible this year and that it will take 2B's a few years to overhaul our roster to fit his system.
Now we are terrible and the SECr is speculating on when he'll be fired and if he's in over his head.
Imagine that.
Bielema isn't a quick fix like these high school coaches that have no idea how to sustain success. Bash on but you are going to hate our fans for it when things turn around.

Tell that to Auburn fans, we beat them every year but they always tout the overall record, which is a whopping 1 game in their favor all time.

i'm not going to knight for arkansas fans on here, but you guys shared a conference for decades so let's not act like this is some brand new thing.
Arky shared a conference with A&M 1.0.
A&M 2.0, the SEC version, is a much better program than our old version.

I just think overall record is a stupid metric. All it takes is going to an extreme to prove just how ridiculous it is.
Lets say you were born in 1980. From 1900-1979 your alma mater won every game without even getting scored on racking up 79 straight unanimous National Titles. From 1980-Present, that same program has now lost every game without scoring a point and the team you beat 79 straight times has now won 30+ straight titles in your lifetime. Which team would you rather be a fan of?

the team that i'm already the fan of? we aren't willy nilly like texas folks i guess.

that's just such a ridiculous question i don't even really think it deserves a valid response.
i'd want the school i loved or respected or whatever other reasons beside their athletic department prowess or lack thereof to be my alma mater.
