I imagine that part of Long's/UA's investigation was gathering the phone records and such. Long had to know that the text's would be public knowledge quickly. But dang, it's less than 24 hrs since the firing and the phone records are out in the open.

who gives a frick, he got caught. I could care less to go through the mans phone records to see if he texted her. We all know he did. Why does it matter if he texted her 5 times or 6594 times?
