I've got some friends in Arkansas who were discussing this the other day.

Say Malzahn performs poorly the next couple years and Auburn let's him go. Say Bert does the same thing and Arkansas let's him go.

I know Malzahn's history at Arkansas was rough but don't know the full details, is his vendetta aimed at the sports administration or solely with Nutt's regime? Is offering Malzahn a likely move from your administration? I honestly think he's the perfect fit for the hogs. Southeast recruiting connections plus I think his option offense makes up for the fact that you guys generally don't pull top 10 recruiting classes. No offense meant just saying.

Any chance that hypothetical could happen? Or is the relationship between the two too toxic to work?

And yes, I'm aware , this is about as off season topic as they get.

Success at two different schools is pretty subjective. Given that Bert is averaging 2.5 SEC wins a year, and Malzahn is averaging 9-3 records at Auburn. Arkansas is not a bottom dweller but I don't think anyone is going to argue that their program is on par with Auburn's.

A coach going from AU to Arky would do worse every time.

Today in the SEC you have to win the Press Conference.

They would sacrifice their first born to make that trade right now.

Some will admit it, but most will overcompensate their denial by talking stupid amounts of shite. Their shite talking of Malzahn was made worse by the 56-3 curbstomping last year, so now they're fuming over their perceived betrayal by their prodigal son.

But don't let them fool you, their tune would change real fast if they were ever able to hire him. Any of them who say otherwise are full of shite

I am serious. I remember friction beteeen Gus and Nutt, but I don't know why Arky fans hate him so much.

Arkansas has a weird complex with home state coaches. Especially the ones that leave and are successful.

Don't think Malzahn has much offensive credibility anymore. Don't know why anybody would want his offense.

Lot of good coaches with arky connections that never went back. Bear Bryant, Jimmy Johnson, Tubby, Gus.

malzahn is a heck of an offensive coordinator when the table is set for him.without a doubt one of the best.

He would be average at best here, heck he's average at a better recruiting school, and with the baggage he left here I doubt many would be receptive to having him here.

good luck to him...anywhere but but here...
