Probably not if they live up to their potential.

One thing Petrino has said before that I can see in this class is this:

He doesn't see as much value in Texas recruits as some because the level of coaching is so good down here. He thinks there is less upside for the kids who come from good programs. Now, that's not to say he wouldn't love to have some of them, but it would also appear that he thinks his staff can bridge those gaps. He's openly said (2 years ago, mind you) that he likes to develop the kids who weren't necessarily well-known in recruiting circles. Maybe he's egotistical to a fault, but he recruits certain attributes for each position.

This^^^^
I just wonder how many people there are who actually believe we will not be an improved team next year ...or the year after? Our team is young. Losing Mallett will not affect us. Book it.

I am old enough to remember the 90's at LSU. Not good recruiting years there.

Could Gerry coach and not recruit? He won with Curley's players.

I just can't hardly believe that some Arky fans are proclaiming this to be the best class in a long while

I'm not one proclaim that but look at it this way. Nutt was able to bring in a few stars from time to time like D-Mac, Jones, and P. Hillis who were all top RB. How else to you go .500 in the SEC with that backfield?

The damn problem was that Nutt was unable to surround them with a quality QB and /or receivers (after Monk got hurt). That's Nutt's MO. Load up in a position or two and to hell with the rest. I'm my judgment; Petrino is recruiting to what we need this year and trying not to be so heavy in one or two positions. Regardless of what this class is ranked, I think it a year or two people will look at the success he has with this group and wonder how the hell that’s possible. We will all see in due time.

Isn't he a Shilo kid? Could the Gus bus turn this into Dyer part 2?

There's no telling where Kheil is headed, most schools will offer him I suspect. He's comfortable with both Gus of Auburn and Garrick of Arkansas, but will have many more wide ranging offers.

FWIW he grew up in a heavily Hog ladened house.

From what I've been told by my 4A peeps, Kheil if he stays the course will be the real deal.

But I'm gonna go ahead and say that Arkansas, under Petrino, has more potential than Ole Miss will ever have under Nutt

You think that.
But if you have two of these recruiting classes in a row, you are in some deep shite.

I for one, am hoping it will be better. And not that there's much wrong with the one this year!

petrino has no chance of going further at arkansas than nutt at ole miss. Lets just face that as fact...better yet nutt has probably done more at ole miss than petrino will do the rest of his life as a colegiate coach.

He sure does. Hope he comes to Arkansas but I don't know if he will with Allen committing.

The OM and Barner morons don't realize we have those super silent commits that will not announce until NSD.

If Petrino doesn't get Jones, well I may have a year of elgibility left, I've already sent him film of me watching football in the recliner eating nachos. I figure I'll be worth 1.5 stars when Rivals rates me.

Vandy is probably having their best recruiting class ever. Props to Bobby Johnson and that staff.

DiNardo could recruit; he could not manage his team. Saban did not walk into an empty cupboard. The 2001 Championship was won largely with DiNardo players.

Hallman couldn't do shite.
