To be fair, the OP said you guys haven’t been anything for the past 50 years. These Mizzou guys are going back that far. Kinda brutal.

this is the reality.. Missouri is a good school with a good athletics program, but also a school that never wins any hardware. Right or wrong, no one wants to be compared to another school like that.
It’s kinda like a “Jack of all trades”.. good at everything, but great at nothing.
Respectable? yes..
No troll.. you would be better off in the Big 10. You would make more money, be a part of a more prestigious academic conference, and your sports would perform better.

Has nothing to do with that. Has all to do with there is absolutely no history on the football field between the two schools, which for me, makes me not even think twice about Missouri.
They can try and create whatever trophy they want and attempt to pump the game up, but it literally means nothing. Win or lose, okay, whatever.
Prior to Arkansas joining the SEC in 1992, we had history on the football field with Ole Miss and LSU. So for me, it was different when Missouri joined the league.
Basketball is a bit different, but still not on some super heated rival level. All the other sports Missouri just doesn't seem to be that great at either. So when we talk about wanting to beat LSU, Ole Miss, heck even Mississippi State to an extent...Its is because in all sports the games are highly competitive.
I have season tickets to all 3 major sports at the UA...so I don't just care about one...I think that is where Missouri lacks in the SEC department.

I think tu actually sees Arkansas as this football powerhouse. Mainly bc they always struggled beating Arkansas.

Arkansas hates Texas.. and it is actually a rivalry game on both sides, which always makes the game more competitive. Some of the younger crowd won’t fully appreciate that yet.
Missouri is just a pain in the arse. Yes, they will win some games here or there, but it’s mostly because Texas sucks, not because Missouri is so good.
Missouri has an identity problem.
Arkansas is a bunch of hillbillies that will jump up and bite you in the arse when you aren’t looking..

You dont have to be so defensive. It's actually a compliment I dont gave anything against Missouri. I'm in Missouri 3 or 4 times a week. Good people half of them are Arkansas fans that I run into.
It's not like Missouri has this great history where we could get excited to play you like Bama when we joined.
So since yall insist this should be a rivalry to get excited about you tell me why should I be more excited to play Missouri than Vanderbilt ?

That’s what I’m saying. Arkansas does not consider A&M a rival. They refuse to recognize Mizzou. Why do they only recognize you guys? What’s the secret history there then?
