What's up with no prospects from NWA? Has the well run dry at Shiloh, Springdale, Rogers, and Bentonville ?

Just a one year lull. There are quite a few D1 prospects in the JR and SO classes in NWA.

Ahh I completely forgot about Clark. He should definitely be on the list because he already has a couple BCS offers. Seems like Kansas is starting to recruit Arkansas pretty hard these days.

I'm not sure what the story is on Lowe. I've heard that he is one of the top athletes in the state if not the best but he has no offers. Is there a problem with his grades? That's the only thing I can think of with him.

The days of the Hogs taking 12 from instate are probably over, unless there just happens to be an extraordinary class. I'd love to see more homeboys, but the level of athlete that Petrino goes after has raised the bar.

Any thoughts on were King ends up? I'm just purely guessing Ole Miss because of a recent article where he said Shibest calls him all the time. I know back in February he said he would accept an Arkansas offer immediately but I'm just not sure how high he is on our list. If he kills it at the camp in July then that will definitely help him out. I'm just don't think he sounds like he wants to wait around from an Arkansas offer that may not come.

I believe the number of in state prospects will start increasing. LR Central has a new coach and it looks like they may have that rolling in another year or 2.

We have a few kids that could recieve division 1 offers. Ramon Taylor from SHS is a late bloomer and could turn some heads this year. The school system in NWA is loaded with Katrina transplants. It could be a blessing or curse, if they want to go back home to LSU.

I think for Arkansas to have a great class this year we will have to pull more kids in from the west coast and Arizonia.

Your prospects seem to attract a lot of interest from Kansas, not sure that is a good thing....

Well, I guess that you have to hang your hat on something..

Kody Walker isn't an instate recruit, but I love his highlight reel.

There's usually not a reason to sign a guy from Arkansas, when you can get an equal talent from Alabama or Georgia. It's just odd that it has been that long, considering the distance isn't all that much.

Arkansas is not a recruiting mecca by any means. The state does not produce a dozen 5* recruits a year. That is why it is important to keep them home.

I knew the talent level in Arkansas was pathetic, but I had no idea it was this bad

Florida 18.5 million
Georgia 9.8 "
Tennessee 6.3 "
Alabama 4.7 "
S. Carolina 4.5 "
Louisiana 4.4 "
Mississippi 2.95 "
Arkansas 2.88 "

One reason we don't put out as many D1 prospects as some...
