Routine? Line drive into those lights where guys have lost the ball in the lights for years out there? Then your foot slips out from under you on the wet grass when you try to break back in. Just a lot of bad luck, maybe this year it will reverse it's certainly due.

It's baseball, it's early and you have one of the best coaches in the country. I am sure y'all will figure it out.

I get what he is saying. Routine ball that’s played looking across at it, instead of direct at you. It gives you a better look.
After that is when things become unlucky. Your first instinct is to move back from what you think is a barrel because it’s easier to come up to the ball than chase backwards. He slips instead. Now he’s realizing the ball is falling faster than he thought and now he is hustling because he knows everything is on the line, panics a little and overcooks it and slips again.
Routine hit played poorly due to many external factors. It’s baseball and that kind of shite happens all the time.

i mean, in his defense, Bear was pretty mid for 90% of the year

Every year is “the year” for us.

Doesn’t matter, he was the hottest hitter in the CWS after Game 1 and had just taken Arkansas’ best pitcher yard in the previous AB.
Inexcusable decision by DVH.
Teams are a reflection of their head coach and he leaves a whole hell of a lot to be desired.

I wasn't online immediately after the game, but I do remember many LSU fans giving Arkansas props in the days following. All agreed that Ark-LSU should have been the National Championship matchup.
Arkansas remains a strong program with exceptional facilities. Shame that we don't meet in the regular season this year. We'll just have to wait for Hoover and/or Omaha.

Bad break for those baws. That team was loaded too.

If LSU can't win the CWS then I will root for Arkansas to win it. They have the best baseball fanbase that has not won it all.

Jesus Christ...it's been 4 games.
Last year's team that went to Arlington scored 3, 2 and 8 runs.
That team hit .307 and hit 127 HR's
We scored more runs in the 3 games we played in Arlington this year along with more hits than last year's team.
You can't make a grand statement like that after the first 3-4 games of the season.

By SS, don’t you mean Golden Spikes winner Wehiwa Aloy?

Gotta admit SS is a lot less letters than what you typed.

Good stuff, no Aloy never said why he threw to 3rd instead of getting easy double play. Stuff like that haunts Razorback baseball fans but at this point we are used to it.
