That's a phenomenal way to kick off the baseball season; ;I wish LSU were playing in it. Hopefully, it will be a yearly thing, like the Shriner's Classic at Minute Maid.

Yeah, lost two of them by one run. Was frustrating.

Our starting pitching is a bit of a question mark but at least we're getting tested early so we can work on getting the rotation set right out of the gate.

Our pitching and especially our starting pitchers are State strength. I think all 3 are in the top 100 regardless. Only question mark is hitting power from the right sides or both sides really

I think our offense will be fine. Like gohogs said, starting pitching is a big question mark. Last, albeit short, season, Noland and Wicklander didn't look too good. We have no true ace like we've had in the past with Campbell and Knight. Though, we supposedly have a deep pen, we just don't know what we exactly have.

Yeah that's the problem with last season being cut short, I'm sure a lot of other teams are going through the same issue but we have a ton of young pitchers with potential who just haven't played so we don't really know what we have. We never got to see how our freshmen from last year developed over the course of the year to give them a bigger role this year.

It's almost like having 2 entire recruiting classes coming in at once that you have to evaluate. Tough job for the coaches.
