Damnit, I want us to schedule a H&H with them or USC/Texas but instead we re-up with Oklahoma?

I would like to see Notre Dame play an SEC team each year if possible. Preferably LSU
We've played them enough in recent years ('85, '86, '97 - twice, '98, '07, '14).
I'd rather Ohio State, Michigan, USC, Texas, Nebraska, Penn State if we are going for traditional powers.

UT was looking to play a home and home with Bama a few years ago but Bama wanted a neutral site game in Arlington or Atlanta. For whatever reason UT is not really big on those games. I think they are a help to programs like Michigan who get to play another game in talent rich areas. After Bama UT agreed to one with LSU. I do not know if Tennessee was ever in the discussion but I know UF and UGA was if LSU said no.

I believe he is talking about these beginning of the season games in Orlando, Atlanta and Arlington.
Not the Red River Rivarly or the WLOCP.
I do not know how long UGA and UF has been playing in J'Ville but UT/OU has been playing in Dallas for almost 100 years now.
To the other neutral site games. Get rid of them as the help out problems like Michigan more than programs in talent rich areas

I'm jealous. So sick of neutral site games. I would love to attend an away game @ND, Michigan, Wisconsin, Clemson, etc.

ND will buy out of the return game in Fayetteville. That game will never be played. They would have preferred to have played Arkansas in one of their off site home game "Shamrock Series" games. Whereby they control ALL of the tickets and NBC has the TV rights. Ironically, and comically, they learned the hard way when they began that series that they could not do that in the SEC and Big 12 footprints. They booked stadiums in those footprints from 2009-2013 and in 2016 thinking they could do that and then learned that the SEC and Big 12 TV contracts would not allow that.
They had San Antonio booked in 2009, Orlando in 2010 and 2011. New Orleans in 2012, and Arlington in 2013 and 2016. In 2009 they wound up playing Washington State in San Antonio . They got out of the Orlando bookings because the Citrus Bowl had not made the contractually required improvements. They bought out of the New Orleans booking when the scheduled game with Baylor didn't get off the ground. They wound up playing Arizona State in Arlington in 2013 and Army in Arlington in 2016.
I suspect they thought they could schedule aTm in San Antonio in 2009. Bama and UF in Orlando in 2010 and 2011. LSU in New Orleans in 2012. And Texas and OU in Arlington in 2013 and 2016. Shamrock Series is a good name for it because it is a sham.
If allowed, Arkansas most likely would have been booked in Little Rock. And everyone would have thought it was an off site home game for Arkansas. Just as everyone thought with the game at Fenway Park with Boston College in 2015. BC off site home game. Right? Nope! ND off site home game. And just as everyone thought with the Maryland game in Landover in 2012. Maryland off site home game. Right? Nope! ND off site home game.

Good fake news in that post. Notre dame is sticking it to Michigan for canceling the Arkansas series. Only way nd would cancel anything is if they join acc full time before 2025

ND could give a sh!t less about Michigan. ND is all about ND. And nothing but ND. You will see.

Sure, ND might cancel the return trip to Fayetteville.
The whole thing might get cancelled.
The cool part, to me anyway, is getting to see your team play in a different venue.
@Notre Dame is sweet, although South Bend sucks.

You mean like when the Bama-GA Tech home & home series fell through, because in the end Bama wanted to play at the Dome instead of Bobby Dodd & make it a Bama off site home game?
You money hungry bastards are ruining the traditions of college football and what makes it so great.
