The pretty well says it all. They got away from what had been working and made some costly mistakes at the end of the game.

Partying at the reactor tonight?
No, going to Phantom of the Opera. Last week PBR, today the Hogs, tonight the theatuh. Variety is the spice of life.

Nice. You're so adventurous.
At least I'm not mad online about a game and tournament my team isn't involved in.

It was a flagrant 1 word for word with the rulebook. Barford was driving the lane and the Hall player shoved him directly forward in the back. That's a tech 1 every time.
From the rulebook:
A flagrant 1 personal foul is a personal foul that
is deemed excessive in nature and/or unnecessary, but is not based solely
on the severity of the act. Examples include, but are not limited to:
1. Causing excessive contact with an opponent;
2. Contact that is not a legitimate attempt to play the ball or player,
specifically designed to stop or keep the clock from starting;
3. Pushing or holding a player from behind to prevent a score;
By the letter of the rulebook it was a flagrant 1, but I think there is a little bit of interpretation there. The Seton Hall player was out of position on the play and accidentally tripped Barford. That was clear from the replay. It wasn't intentional and you can't call it by the severity of the act. If Barford didn't trip, I don't think they make this call.
I'm not saying that the call is wrong, I'm just saying it's still open to interpretation.
Also, I think the travel by the Seton Hall was more of a clinching play than the foul call.

No its not. Two hand touch is not a flagrant foul
Not making a play on the ball is a flagrant under the current rules

sadly this thread is exposing a lot of people who don't know the basic rules of basketball.

He didn't make a play on the ball, and he shoved Barford. Even if it was inadvertent, he tripped Barford.
That being said, if it is a regular foul, Barford gets two shots. They immediately fouled us on the inbound, so the difference was 1 pt and 2 seconds.
We would have still been up 5 with like 14 seconds left.
99% of the time that is a win.

Agreed. The travel by the Seton Hall player was more of a game-deciding play than the flagrant call. Hands down.

What a bunch of bullshite. By that definition every foul at the end of the game is a flagrant foul.
Every foul is designed to stop the clock at the end of the game
What a terrible rule and definition of the rule

Are you new to basketball? As soon as the foul happened I said, "they can make that a flagrant." And Coach Anderson raised the crossed arms. It was a pretty standard call.
