Small population; also applies to Kentucky, Mississippi, AlaBama, & South Carolina.

Personally, I don't care much for MLB & the NFL & wish the NBA did not exist; if the NFL ceased to exist, I'd shed no tears.

Been to several MLB games & would go back. Went to NBA game once, more than enough for a lifetime. Never been to an NFL game, but, would like to go once, maybe twice.

Not exactly the best time for someone from Missouri to get into a state argument.

Big.cities are fun especially in Europe; London OK. Berlin, Bavaria area & Vienna are among my favorites.

St. Louis, KC, LA, SF, Sacramento, Reno, Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antone, NYC are OK. Charleston, Richmond, Atlanta & Washington City are nice.

I'm sure I left out a few.

Frankly,

The state is so monopolized by the Hogs no professional league has ever dared to try to chip into our market share.

We have the people and the $, and the obvious corporate support from our world leading corporations, but it all goes to the Razorbacks.

My family settled in the Ozarks in 1823. Which is kinda crazy.

Arkansas & Missouri bantering about racial issues.

WTF? I find this a humorous pissing match to watch. Carry on.

Razorbacks number one sports team in Arkansas.

Where does missou rank 7-8?

Do they even know what a missou is in KC?

I have nothing to gain or lose in this debate.

but arky, I hate to say right now as an lsu fan, is a great state. right over the mizzou border there is walmart, tyson, and hunt. the scenery is outstanding (read: outdoorsman paradise- almost as good as louisiana just no coastline)

this is a bad troll so I wont flame how bad missoura is

I wouldn't involve St. Louis in a brag post. It is a dead city that only comes alive during Cardinals games. The food scene sucks, music scene sucks, cultural activities suck.

I go there for work and I am amazed at how downtown is a ghost town during the week. It is depressing.

I tried the fried ravioli. WTF is that shite? A shitty appetizer at Friday's is the cities favorite food?

The backwater states - such as Arkansas/West Virginia - do have a few things going for them:

- Beautiful scenery to drive through or live around
- They aren't congested with over-educated yuppies that think they know more than what they really do
- Cheap real estate (you're not overpaying for average land)
- Good job opportunities for people starting out (since those states often NEED younger workers)

The yuppies hate those kinds of places, but I'm OK with that.

Agreed. If you enjoy the outdoors like myself, I put it in the top 5 states in the US for hiking, fishing, etc. I make a couple of trips to Mountian Home every year. Absolutely love that place.

My family lives in Mountain Home. I usually make the trip up from Lower Alabama once a year. It is a beautiful place to visit. Many childhood summers on the lake. Bad troll to be bringing up St. Louis compared to anything right now
