They are not really using the press trying to trap, force turnovers in the back court, etc (leads to layups sometimes from being aggressive).
You can control the tempo, slowing a team down and if they suck in the half court offense give them less time in the shot clock to run their offense, giving them less chances at creating a good shot attempt.
