It's being reported that Kirby was able to get Gilbert a room adjoining Scott Cochran.

Saban could help that kid.

You are so right. Here is what happens:

Saban has meeting with whole team, minus Gilbert, about Gilbert's mental proclivities. He asks them to keep an eye on him and to have at least one player with him all the time. That's not unheard of on teams over the years, trust me.

Second, Saban has the best sports psychologists in America to readjust him and realign his program for him. Gilbert is not lost forever, he just hasn't been given what he needs. Saban has all these guys on retainer and can call them up whenever a player needs a reboot and they can simplify things for Gilbert.

Tertiary, Saban gives him firm and strong leadership but not in an erratic and haphazard way that Kirby likely knows. There have been absolutely mentally affected, to extreme degrees, players that made it through all right.

Just look at the Iron's brothers, they literally could not cross an intersection without help. They were kind of sad but they made it and made pretty good in life too.

Absolutely not shocking whatsoever diddly being wrong about something and not eating his crow as a result.

What a stupid fricking coward he is.
