I hate it when LSU plays Vandy. I want LSU to win,but I hate seeing Vandy lose.
niiiice. i feel you. that must kinda suck. that's some of the stuff i'm looking to see. i am curious if more people have conflicts like that ... and folks that have changed colors. i'm totally digging seeing this response: "went over the other line and never looked back."
to me that proves they did change... because looking back would be tough.
I-59, btw, good move swapping over to LSU ;) it would have been a tough, tough road the other way around.

I've been attending LSU football games since before I could remember...I come from a long line of die-hard LSU fans
my first game as a student in Tiger Stadium was the 97 Florida game.
after graduating, my love for LSU has only intensified

Are you kidding ? Growing up in Birmingham in the 1970's pulling for Vanderbilt was no walk in the park.

Oh snap. I don't know if I could handle that. I'm just glad my girlfriend is all Bama. To heck with a house divided.

So you don't like the idea of proudly saying "My school has won at least one national champioship"

I have been banned from the Ole Miss LSU game at Tiger Stadium forever. The last 2 times I watched them play there Ole Miss won. I will have to buy a cheap ticket about 5 min before kick off in 2 years and sneak in or hope he forgets and I can steal one of his and where my Ole Miss colors in the LSU section again.

I have yet to unveil my college team to this forum, but I have been a fan of said team since I was born. However, I became a die-hard Lakers fan after watching them play at the Staples Center a year or so ago.

went to several Ole Miss USM games before they stopped playing then my best friend asked me to go to Oxford for a game my senior year of high school. I went and got goose bumps as the band played Dixie in the Grove. It was all it took I have been die hard Ole Miss ever since. Even attended college there.
My Dad was an Ole Miss alum, and took me to my first game at 3. The ticket from my first game is in my baby book. My parents got divorced, and my mom married a man who was a trainer for Ole Miss back when he was in college (his family had been educated Ole Miss at least 3 generations back. The grove, once you've experienced it...you're never the same.
But yeah, Ole Miss could be 3-9 and I'd be at all games to the very end. I root for Memphis too.

growing up in T'town, my dad had a business on the strip. so every football season, we'd go down for the homecoming parade, or hang out at the store on gamedays and smell the absolutely stunning BBQ filling up the air. chilling at the store gave us a chance to "Roll Tide!" with everyone no matter who they were, all day long...
such an amazing experience. the campus today is so utterly different than it used to be/look. it still rocks with all of the improvements. man it seemed so much smaller back then.

trust me, for the past 5-10 years i am fully aware of what that statement means. nothing makes you more of a fan than learning humility and loving your team through losses. wins are amazing but very short lived because it makes you hungry for more... losses build character. that's a fact.

How are you doing today, son?
My entire family are tiger fans. I went to State and have been a loyal fan since.
Actually, i always kind of liked State from growing up in my early years in MS and following them in the days of Mardye McDole, John Bond, Glen Young, Johnny Cooks, etc. I went to LSU for a bit but transfered to State.

From New Orleans and have no ties to LSU, but when I was in middle school my friend took me to see LSU play Florida and little did I know we would beat the number 1 team in the country that night. I was in the student section and even rushed the field. Die hard ever since. I also root for UNC in all sports, because I liked them too. As well as Notre Dame football.

Born in MS and raised as an LSU fan. My dad and his side of the family are from Shreveport, LA. Still have a ton of family that live there, and they are all big Tiger fans. My parents divorced, and my mom would dress me in MSU gear when i was a little kid.
Grew up liking all LSU sports. It was rough living in MS during the 90s when Dinardo was there. When I was in HS, i wanted to be in the TGBFTL. Went to Hinds CC right out of HS, went to and graduated from LSU while getting to accomplish my dream of being in Tiger Band. Moved back to MS, and still a die-hard LSU fan.

Are you a convert?
Nope, no convert here. I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa about 10-15 minutes from Campus over in Northport. My whole family is Alabama. My sister-in-law grew up a Tennessee fan (she is from TN) but she converted over when she and my brother married and it drives her dad crazy. He will call my brother if TN beats us, but if it's the other way around he won't answer the phone. My gf is also Bama. She got her undergrad at Auburn (Bama didn't have her major at the time) but got her master's back at Bama. She is also from Tuscaloosa.

No. Born and raised in Louisiana, My dad never went to LSU he didnt go to college. We have season tickets since god knows when.. My first LSU game i was 4 years old, and i havent missed a home game since. I go to one away game a year, and i go to the bowls. I'm 18 now, so i experienced the dark ages of LSU to. I remember at times just wishing LSU can just be competive and not give up. Now are the good times, i tell everyone that followed since 2000 to enjoy it.
Victory for L-S-U!
