With the fact that it's now known that Alabama had ineligible players all season. Should Bama buy some postage and mail that trophy down to Baton Rouge?

I agree! And while we're at it, USCheat can finally mail that 2004 Natty to the rightful owners.

Split title for 2011...

Alabama 12–1 Nick Saban, AP, B(QPRS), BCS, BR, CFRA, DuS, FWAA, MCFR, NFF, SR, USAT, W

LSU 13–1 Les Miles, A&H, CCR

Oklahoma State 12–1 Mike Gundy, CM

A Trio of Top Teams

•Three teams soared far above the rest this season, with LSU edging Oklahoma State for the #1 spot and Alabama finishing a relatively close #3
•Despite its one-trip-across-midfield performance in the BCS National Championship Game, LSU still accomplished the most of any team this season, beating #4 Arkansas, #9 Oregon, #15 Georgia, #21 West Virginia, and #25 Auburn, and going 1-1 versus #3 Alabama (with neither game at home)
•#2 Oklahoma St. matched LSU's nation-leading tally of 6 wins versus the final top-25, beating #5 Oklahoma, #7 Kansas St., #8 Baylor, #13 Stanford, #16 Texas, and #24 Missouri, while losing at #36 Iowa St.
•#3 Alabama won 3 games versus the final top-25, beating #4 Arkansas and #25 Auburn and going 1-1 versus #1 LSU (once at home, once at a neutral site)

I will give you that if you can agree that Auburn is the 2004 national champion by virtue of the title being taken away from USC and the fact that we finished second in the AP poll that year.
