Heidelburg is truly incredible. As a history buff, the concept of "old" in Europe is really something else. Hell, my mom's hometown in Sweden was first established as a Viking fishing village in 991.
Here's a photo of Uppsala University in Sweden, founded in 1477:

I've live in Heidelberg for the last 3 years, and married my wife who is born and raised in the city.
One of the most beautiful cities i've ever been to

Plenty. There are some beautiful campuses in the SEC and there are some absolutely ugly campuses.
UVA is nicer than any campus in the SEC. Notre Dame is beautiful. WUSTL, Pepperdine, and Michigan just to name a few.

there are so many beautiful college campuses and, we do have some great ones in the sec.
two smaller, non-sec (actually non-football schools) that i have not seen mentioned are the college of charleston and the university of chicago. totally different: the c of c very small, very southern & chicago, straight out of harry potter.

Hell, the old Tennessee State Prison is prettier than some SEC campuses.

I'm gonna be accused of being a Bama homer, but I really don't care - Auburn SUCKS. Loveliest village on the Plains, my butt.
Yeah, they've got some pretty flower beds. I expect that. But the buildings themselves all look like they came from a standard set of architectural plans distributed to all land grant institutions by the Dept of Agriculture in 1968. Seriously, you can pick any set of land grant colleges you like and throw out the last ten years of construction - the rest of their buildings all are interchangeable for the most part.
Now, you can think I hate Auburn's campus because I am a Bama fan all you like, but that's really not true - I can separate my dislike for the teams and fans from the actual buildings, which is what I'm talking about. The fact is that the Auburn campus looks like Southern Miss on steroids. If that good.
IDGAS, JMHO. YMMV.

Seriously, holy shite. You're calling this a beautiful campus?
I was specifically thinking of the view from the Student Union overlooking frat row and Razorback stadium down through the valley with the Boston Mtns. as a backdrop. It's pretty tranquil and relaxing.
Now Norman's not quite the shithole that Stillwater is I'll give you that. The Fayetteville campus is leaps and bounds nicer than any college campus in Oklahoma.

Is the picture I posted of the Fayetteville campus? Because it looks to be on par with A&M with the Soviet Union/Chernobyl feel to it.

Oh look there's the Bama fan who takes it upon him/herself to trash Auburn's campus when no one even remotely implied that they wanted to hear about a Bama fan's opinion of Auburn's campus in this 4 page thread. Seriously why do you think anyone would want to hear your opinion of Auburn's campus?

Is this Cambridge or Oxford? Perhaps Harvard or Cornell? No, this is actually a former member of the SEC located on Monteagle Mountain.

Here is another SEC original member, Gibson Quad at Tulane, the portion of campus located just off Saint Charles Avenue:

I honestly have no clue where that's at. I've looked at that photo about 7-8 times now and can't pick out any landmarks that are would they should be if that was a shot of the west end of Dickson where they've built some new stuff. The old dorms look like all old dorms built in the 60's and 70's. Arkansas is phasing them out though.
