Are there any Auburn fans left who haven’t descended to apathy?

3-5 years ago the rivalry on here was very much alive. Nowadays a once great fanbase is numb to all losses and only wishes for basketball season to start.

Is there any Auburn fan left who’s still passionate about their team? I say we bring back MsGarrison. At least he cared.

No, wishing for this Harsin experiment to end soon.

Nope. The reality of the current state of the program makes it tough to be an optimist. Hoping for better days ahead.

Eh, I'm probably not either (passionate or apathetic).

I'm getting older so it's a little harder to draw the line because I'm not living and dying with AU football anymore regardless. I'm still interested in the games and in particular the development of individual players.

I guess when you're resolved that the season won't be good, the stress/anxiety dissipates a lot. I don't think that's necessarily apathy, but it does suppress the passion.

I think a lot of us are just conflicted right now, we want to win and pull off some upsets, but at the same time we're ready to get on with the inevitable so we can get to the next era of the program.

Good way to describe it.

Jordan Hare was full and loud last weekend.

Auburn fans are still Auburn fans, but we know the state our football program is in, too. It's been a while since Georgia was in that spot, but it all comes back around eventually. It's just our turn to go through it.

Be careful what you wish for, wait until we get Coach Prime. I'm wreaking havoc all over this board.

Auburn fans are the best at going into a bunker and patiently waiting for lightning to randomly strike one season (2004, 2010, 2013, 2017). It always happens, and it will happen again. It always does.

we know a lost cause when we see one. After Harsin is fired we can start to regain focus

Harsin reminds me a lot of the Bret Bielema regime at Arkansas with his coaching acumen and recruiting. That's not a compliment.

It was that way back in 2006 for Bama fans. We knew Shula wasn't the answer. It's not that we wanted to lose. We just didn't want Shula to do just enough to keep his job, knowing Bama was never gonna get back on top with him as head coach.

Sounds like a lot of A&M fans. Not much we can do this year but hope Jimbo takes the hint and get an OC.

A&M vs Auburn will definitely be a cripple fight this year. Far cry from the competitive days where the away team won the first 5 or so games in our series.
