No clue why you got down voted for this.
The odds of going undefeated are extremely low in this era. Not only is portal ripping depth from the best teams, but you have to play so many more games.
A national champion from here on out has to play a minimum of 16 games, and as many as 17 games. NFL schedule.
And every national champion from here on out will have to beat at a minimum multiple top 10 teams in a single season.
Edit: thats why I actually like the new playoffs, if they get rid of the seeding bullshite where they give G5, ACC, and Big 12 top tier seeding for just existing.

man. y'all remind me why I REALLY used to hate Bama. Everytime they lose there is an asterisk. Do you guys put asterisks next to the games you win where you have injured the opponents starting QB or another integral player?

Not in the CFB Playoff era.

With a 12 team playoff, no one will go undefeated.

Wrong. Statistically, LSU 2019 is literally the goat.

You probably didn't even know the GOAT debate existed until 2019.

The correct answer is 1995 Nebraska.

Learn history & football bud.
2019 LSU
2001 Miami
1995 Nebraska
Schedule, rankings, statistics……PROOF say so. Your opinion is irrelevant

None of those things say so. Post them.
I've been a fan for half a century. It's not history for me, it's memories.
2019 LSU was only good on offense, you weren't a top10 defense at all. There are 2 sides of the ball.
And that's why you barely beat teams by 3, 5 and 7 points and also why you weren't even rated as the strongest team in 2019 by advanced metrics like F+.
Meanwhile the closest anyone came to beating 95 Nebraska was 14 points. They were dominate from day 1 until the end.
The only reason you dumbass LSU fans try to pretend that stupid crap is because you constantly compare yourselves to Alabama and you know a single NC isn't really much.
2020 Alabama was even better offensively and defensively than 2019 LSU and they aren't the GOAT just because of the close game against Florida.
2001 Miami is for idiots who listen to media hype and have no clue. Not a surprise you would mention them.

I'm still waiting for you to post the stats and things you claim.
Based on what you've claimed and said thus far, I bet your entire based of "research" is that stupid graphic that uses time of game rankings to pretend teams like Texas were top10 teams while at the same time citing a bunch of awards that didn't even exist 30 years ago.
It's that graphic isn't it? That's why you cited the 3 teams above and nobody else.
fricking retard.

2019 LSU could have done it.
Maybe 2018 Clemson too.

Not according to advanced metrics.
2019 overall F+
#2 LSU 2.34
#3 Alabama 2.30
2020 overall F+
#1 Alabama 2.73
