Our seniors are Spurrier hold overs for the most part. This is the first year since 2014 where I think we legitimately can beat y'all

Thank you for being rational about this game. I don't think any Gamecock fan is saying we're gonna stomp y'all or its any kind of definite W this year. It's hardly that. Georgia fans should know more that most that since basically 2000, it's always a pretty tight game between us, as even last year was tighter than most for y'all when we were at your house against best team y'all have had. We've had success against y'all at home and your fans who just think you're gonna walk in and run us out Williams Brice are kidding themselves.

I don't know of any UGA fans that think it wont be close. Most of us think it will be close but towards the end of the game the heat will benefit us because we have good depth. FWIW It looks like Muschamp was the perfect coach for yall. This should become a very good rivalry from here on out

You're not good. You beat La Tech by 1, lost to KY, hardly beat Vandy last season. Last year was SC's time to "surprise." MIZ, TN, and FL have just as good as chance as finishing second.

For God Sakes nobody said we were going to blast GA. A former player predicted an upset and some GA fans got really irritated. Like I said before it’s quite possible that we could beat GA. We could also get blown out. I simply don’t see the latter happening. UGA just lost two backs that combined for 26 rushing TD’s. I’m sure you have other backs that can score. I don’t know if their tandem is going to be of that caliber. That is why I’m not betting on UGA winning by 3 scores. Can they win? Of course. Will it be by 3 scores? It could be. I just don’t see it....

I wish you guys actually believed the BS that you put on here . People who are willing to bet don’t believe in South Carolina. Florida has better odds to win more games and win the east . Missouri is not to far behind South Carolina in both of those lines . I think Georgia and Florida will both finish ahead of South Carolina . Missouri and/or Kentucky could too .

That has been a problem for years and we still have beat USCe with out much issues. 2 years ago we didn’t have a QB and still had no issue with USCe. Congrats on beating us last year when our coach was fired and the team was a mess .

If you read the thread I said I predict you to beat uga but go 7-5. All the contrarians on this board had a hard time grasping that concept

Uh, congrats on beating us 2 years ago when we had no QB, our team was a mess, and we had a first year coach.

Funny that you would use that excuse to justify losing to us but don’t recognize that we were in the exact same boat.

Everyone who brags about beating us over the last 3 years are blatantly ignoring the fact that Spurrier left our program in shambles and our program was obviously in the toilet as a result. Congrats on beating a team when they were down and mostly underclassmen, you did what you were supposed to do.

But this is really the first year where we’ll be able to see the results of Muschamp’s rebuilding project, and there is absolutely valid reasoning to believe its heading in the right direction and the shite smell has been cleaned off. We’ll see.

The OC for the last 2 years produced an offense that was almost the best game for every defense SC played. Not kidding. Look at the stats. Roper’s offense couldn’t move the ball on some of the worst defenses in the country and for two years straight the offense was ranked 100+ in the country. Roper was fired after 2017 Clem game.

SC had a new OC for the bowl game and played the #3 defense in the country. The offense that couldn’t produce during the season blew up Michigan’s defense and UM allowed the third most points it had all year, only PSU and OSU got more.

Maybe the bowl game means nothing since it was McClendon’s first time calling plays and it could have been a fluke. Or, maybe he’s gonna be good. But, some don’t realize Dan Werner was added to the staff in the off-season to help run the offense. Werner was co-OC at Ole Miss when they were putting up 500 yards a game a couple of years ago.

The offense will be better this year - that is a given.

Add to the better offense the fact Muschamp will simply not ever have a bad defense. It won’t likely be a “great” defense this year. It takes talent to have a great defense and Muschamp is building that, but talent or not Muschamp will have a defense that plays well enough to give the team a chance to win.

If SC ends up with an offense that is simply ranked in the top 50 in the country and the defense is “about as good” as last year, the Cocks go 9-3 to 11-1.....that is just the way the schedule sets up if the offense and defense scenarios play out as described. If the offense is a top 50 offense, SC beats UG at home. That’s not a shocker - worse SC teams have beaten UG as heavy favorites. But, even with a win against UG the team could still end up 9-3 due to losses at Clem, UF and either UK or Ole Miss.

Eh. Even in the Spurrier years it was game we expected to win and had similar feelings as playing Vandy or Kentucky. Spurrier just won a few more than those other teams.

Hopefully, y'all don't fall back to pre Spurrier ineptitude. It's definitely more interesting when y'all can steal a game here and there. Especially since the UF and UTk programs are both currently wallowing in used toilet water.

WTF? The series is 4-4 since 2010.

And it's also, 3-0, 4-1, 11-5, 14-7. Anyone can arbitrarily pick years to make it look close but in reality it's 50-18-2. Even Vanderbilt has beaten us 20 times in roughly the same amount of games. Face it, we look at your game each year the same way we look at Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and Miss State. You're just closer so you think that makes us rivals. Hell, Clemson is a bigger rivalry than USCjr.

The South Carolina gamecock fan bases is the most delusional fan base in all of sports. It’s also the dumbest fan base as well.

Georgia is going to pimp smack the gamecocks and it’s not even gonna be close. Clemson will also beat them like a rented mule. Dabo has been very and I mean VERY generous over the last 2 seasons vs the gamecocks. He could have hung 80+ in 2016 if he wanted to... last year it was 34-0 in the 4 quarter before the gamecocks even crossed the 50 yard line.

The gamecocks should focus on beating teams like Kentucky..... not their big brothers.

Second game of the year...both teams will still be working out the kinks. We won't blast SCAR, either. It's a hostile environment to play in, especially for UGA the last few times we've been there. Both teams are playing Podunk U for their openers...not really a test for either team, and neither coach will open up the playbook for a lesser opponent.

I don't see a 3-score UGA win, either. Kirby isn't gonna embarrass Muschamp like that by running up the score. If he had wanted to do that, he could have last year. UGA fumbled away one scoring opportunity, and kneeled on the ball at the end when they could have scored again. Final could have been 38-10, instead of 24-10.

I am picking UGA, but somewhere in the neighborhood of a 28-17 win or a 31-21 game. I just don't buy a 21-point win in that road environment. But that's just me.
