South Carolina would have a better chance in a night game. Dawgs are a two touchdown favorite. I think that the line is on target. The game will be close early but UGA's superior depth will show late.

If you think that the USC wins, bet the house because you have a 14 point cushion.

2000 ... Gamecocks coming off a 21 game losing streak.

UGA comes to town a 28 point favorite with Quincy Carter at the helm leading the #4 ranked Dawgs into The Cock Pit.

What happened? I'm having a hard time remembering.

1977 .... 2012 .... what happend in those games where UGA came in a prohibitive favorite?

Why so many Dawg fans are so confident they'll win my double-digits ... is that not just as optimistic as we Gamecock fans feeling good about our chances to win?

I do not understand the butthurt or perceived disrespect you believe we are showing. There's a certain stench of hypocrisy to it quite honestly.

BTW, one of the few times I have ever bet on my Gamecocks in 2000 ... won a bunch of money, just felt like they would cover. It was the next week I think where I won even more when they crushed Eastern Michigan.

Probably because we have done that 3 years in a row. Did it twice without qbs.

There are also some reasons why we wouldn’t feel good.

And yeah, we may get slightly cockier than we have in a while..but we have dual reasons for that. One, bc we sense a change in our program

Same with us.

because we are just making sure we've secured the offseason championship.

You kind of insinuated that we were giving you a run for your money. You sceered we gone take that off season champeenship away from you?

Seriously, I really think South Carolina is about to do some really big things. Spurrier did a heck of a job for you, but he did leave you in bad shape. But, years ago it would have taken years to get back to being strong again. A slow process. The fact that there is so much progress so quickly tells me you guys will be back soon and in a big way.

In an odd twist, I think Spurrier had something to do with the quick come back. He proved South Carolina could compete on a big time level, so recruits are more willing to go there.

Yes he did ... that's true.

But it's really mUSChamp. He should get all the credit. His work ethic is incredible and the way he drives every aspect of the football program. Nothing goes unnoticed by him. He's a good manager. That's what will take us to the next level and allow is to sustain it this time hopefully.

Now, what we can give SPURrier a ton of credit for is facilities and donations. He brought that waaaaaaay up. Made people believe. Got them donating money. Donated money himself. The Indoor Practice Facility is a shrine to what he accomplished with regard to those sort of things.

South Carolina will lose to UGA and Clemson this year. They don't have the talent or depth.

The talent level is rarely even but South Carolina plays us like we play Auburn, I expect a close game early in the season on the road.

And you have to keep in mind that Kirby does not want to embarrass will. He will melt clock rather than run up a score.

Remember this is a Kirby Smart team. If Richt was the coach then I would be very concerned.

Didn't mean to take anything away from Muschamp. obviously he is continuing the work. Was just saying that Spurrier laid the groundwork, and Muschamp is continuing the trend.

robably the most delusional statement on the first page of tRant today. Wow!

I don’t see where anything I said was that delusional. I simply said I did not think your starters across the board were leaps and bounds ahead of ours as you believe. When your run game could produce 300yds per game that makes a difference anyway this is a whole new season and the teams have yet to be seen in action. You could beat us by 2-3 scores or you could lose. Who really knows????

You talk about beating Bama 8 years ago because that is all your program has over us in your entire history and when he retorts with something we did less than 8 months ago it makes us insufferable.

Here's an idea, don't talk shite to a team that has owned you for your entire existence and it won't hurt your feels so bad when you are reminded of your program's futile history.

How's that for insufferable?

Lol, so you sit here and diss us for talking about 2010, then very next sentence talk about your history of owning us. You sir, are an idiot.

Recent history, I believe we're 4-6 against y'all. That ain't owning shite bro. I don't care about anything more than 10 years ago
