Do you think he is one of the current 10 best coaches in D1?

Who can you say with absolute certainty is better?

Smart, Harbaugh. That's about it.

I can't say with certainty that Sark is better...maybe he is...and certainly not Kiffin, Dabo, or Norvell.

After that it gets pretty thin.

I’d be happy with it if I was them. I think recruiting might drop off a fraction of a percentage but Bama pretty much recruits itself nowadays. The potential weakness I see as an opposing fan is, what does his team look like when he misses a QB evaluation? Are his teams physical enough to win games when the deep shots aren’t there?

Of course, some are saying that. But, they don't believe it.
AU fans were the same in 2007 when Saban was hired. They boasted that Tuberville owned him. We see how that turned out.

I absolutely think Kiffin is better. He has proven it over a much larger timeframe and has ties for around the SEC. Norvell and Sark are 100% better. Dabo would be but the fact that he has not embraced NIL is killing him.

Norvell already said no. Kiffin probably goes if offered is my guess, but who knows with him.

Probably the real truth. Maybe the timing but doubt they expected to hear no from anyone, let alone multiple times.

Great hire...sounds like he was the top choice.

Be real here. He was not the top choice.

Not a bad hire, as an LSU fan I would have been more worried with Kiffen or Lanning. Did not want either getting that job.

Let's pretend he was the first choice

But this young man is going to feel pressure like he's never felt before. A guy can work in relative anonymity in Seattle. Tuscaloosa is a whole different game...he won't be able to pop a squat without fans & media discussing it.

Correct, that pressure was getting to Saban the last few years because of the expectations he created.

Georgia did not HAVE to hire a coordinator. We did though - by choice. And look what we got!

Yeah just tune out the noise. We’re going to be fine. The usual suspects are yapping because they thought we were going away, but we’re never going away. Bama was Bama before Saban. It will be Bama after Saban. Because we are who we are. And they are who they are.
