No. Good. Very competitive but elite. I'm having a hard time equating elite to the SEC period in baseball right now. Maybe somebody will prove that wrong

SEC's top 5 programs over the last 20 years have been: LSU, MSU, USCe, Ole Miss, Florida. And that pretty much means you're a top 10 national program. So yeah I'd say Ole Miss and Mississippi State have elite baseball programs right now.

So much homer.

According to D1 baseball, Ole Miss and MSU are the 7th and 8th best programs in the SEC, which makes them 18th and 21st in the country, respectively. Not Elite.

FYI, Vandy 1; Florida 3; LSU 5; USC 9; Ark 12, A&M 14

Neither elite, but I would consider MSU the best program in America without a title. Ole Miss is many levels below. One Omaha appearance since 1972. That is not even mediocre.

Pretty sure Florida State, and their 21 CWS appearances without a title, has that one locked up easily.

e. There is no doubt they both have elite venues, and both have made deep Omaha runs recently and are routinely top 20 teams.

I wouldn't call what OM did "a deep run". And your venue? Still NOT considered by the national press to be on the level of the one we are about to massively upgrade.

MSU is reaching that status. They always have a good baseball team. Ole Piss is something else. I don't remember them ever being relevant in the SEC in baseball or football, or basketball or any other sport they participate in, please enlighten me ole piss fans. What have you won lately(besides beating Tim Tebow and causing Florida to win another national title) or even in the last 30yrs???

eta: oops, I forgot that co-division championship TEAM you had and how proud you people are of that banner.

We finished in the top 3, so...?

This is such a State thing to say. It's okay to be a State fan and admit Swayze Field is one of the best ballparks in America. It's certainly the nicest in Mississippi and we are also about to expand. Dudy Noble is not nice, it has a lot of history & has a great atmosphere beyond the fence. And that massive upgrade? They aren't going to build half of what was shown in the original rendering.

I think state is because of our long history and number of sec championships and Omaha appearances.

Ole Miss is good but y'all lack the history to be elite without having any Nattys and few SEC championships

No, they're not elite.

And in my eyes, one title isn't enough. You have to win multiple titles.

Miami (4), LSU (6), Texas (6), Southern Cal (12) -- those are elite programs.

Ole Miss has the same prestige in football and in baseball, fair?

Decent amount of success overall, good history of making postseason bowls/CWS, but there are periods where they were not good and there are not enough championships to be considered top 15 all time.
