I'm more worried about an Oklahoma matchup due to their QB run game. We struggle with that apparently, and could be a 74-72 game without overtime.

Clemson is an unknown, which is really the only thing that concerns me--but the fact that they have coasted through this year is not good for them. There has been very little adversity, and even without it they haven't lit up the score board a lot.
That having been said, Dabo is riding this "national disrespect" thing hard, so i expect that they will come out swinging.

Clemson's WRs scare the hell out of me since they can challenge our corners. It's a difficult match up. Would even say we match up better with Ohio State.

Truth be told, rather Clemson and OSU beat up on each other first before LSU has to face one of them. "Beat the best at their best" is bullshite. I want a championship. Either way though, LSU is gonna have to play 2 more top 4 teams before they make it to the championship game.

I truly have no idea who Clemson is. They have blown out terrible teams... I truly feel like they could be anywhere between a national champion and a late December bowl participant.

*edited* this Clemson is an unknown talk is just a way for the Lsu1* fans to make themselves feel better about the matchup. Anyone with a semblance of intelligence should know that Clemson is a very good team.

They should be because Clemson is the best overall team this year , playing at very high level now, Dabo is good at playing an underdog role. They have a lot of experience with managing the CFPO schedule and I expect they will win it all again this year.

Clemson is basically Bama pre LSU game. They have blown out shitty teams.

They are a very good team, but how good is the question. That's why I called them unknown in the OP.

They could beat the hell out of the top3 or lose to all the top3. We don't have any kind of good gauge on that.

But yeah, they are def a top team. I wasn't inferring they weren't.

LSU hasn't seen a defense like Clemson's, but on the other hand Clemson has definitely not seen an offense like LSU's.

Think it would be a hell of a game.

Nope, and I hope they are favored over us too.

I’ve been cautiously optimistic all year, and would be for that game too. I want to play Clemson though. We owe them for an embarrassing loss a few years ago, and it would be cool if LSU could add beating the #3 and #1 ranked team this year. Assuming they beat Clemson and Ohio State.

Nope. Clemson hasn’t played anybody all year. They’ll struggle against us in the first half and we’ll get up 31-7. They will score in the 2nd half but not enough to win.

We played Almost the same schedule last year including the 2 SEC juggernauts and had the fortune of taking on the greatest college football team ever...one that could beat NFL teams...their fans also talked about how we were going to get boat-raced..

so your "prediction" will get the the appropriate respect due and then we will flush it down the toilet

But they haven't played anyone ranked, so we don't know how they would react to playing a top team.
I think we know. Their weak conference + OOC schedule will be their undoing. Sure, it got them to the top of the rankings but their team won't know what hit them when Burrow & Co. comes to town.

I would rather play Ohio St than Clemson.

I still believe LSU should be #1 if they beat UGA convincingly.

Make Ohio St. have to play them, because LSU has already played enough top 5 teams.

LSU will have earned the #1 seed given their schedule.

No. We have no control over who we are assigned to play after this next game. So we aren’t worried.

Clemson is weird. It feels like they're an unknown type of team this year. We saw what Clemson is capable of against Bama.

No doubt about it...with the schedule they have had, it is hard to know how good they really are. However, I have seen their coaching staff at work and I know they are very good if not great.

It will be an interesting matchup if it happens. Both QBs have ice water running through their veins and can take over a game on their own. Both can deliver any throw in the route tree with accuracy.

I am more concerned about them than Ohio State.

I wouldn't think so. The vibe I get is it's a piece of cake.
