Cal State Fullerton does have more titles than us but we have actually been to the title game once more than they have. In fact, SC is tide for 5th most title appearances. I'd say that puts us pretty close to being a national powerhouse in baseball, and even though Clemson has never made it to the title game I'd consider them a very strong baseball program. I think both Clemson and SC would have every right to be pissed off if they were regional hosts and lost their first game, considering their history/success in the sport. I guess the two of us just have different definitions of what a good program is.

no, that was in repsone to some auburn person sayng they had played in two national titles what has clemson does. i pointed out played in two national titles as well. :)
Clemson is one of the strongest programs in college football since mid 1970s or so. the fact that we are such a small school, onl 16000 undergrads makes it doubly impressive.

how many programs have been significantly better.
i assume u will say michigan, ohio state, penn state, oklhoama, texas, nebraska, USC, Miami. (most of those are struggling in modern times).
