Uga was far less likely to beat bama from 08-15 than we have been under smart

As much as the IB is talked about as the best rivalry in college football, it seems odd that Auburn fans have openly cheered for Alabama to beat Georgia in the last two years.

Yeah, because they have completely given up on beating y’all. So they resort to “winning” the only way they can against Georgia.

So now the LSU is riding the dick of Clemson because they themselves are incapable of beating Bama. This is so pathetic

You do realize that Clemson isn’t a rival of LSU’s. I really really hope you understand the differences here and are just trolling.

The games with bama are a lot closer.

You wouldn't have at the beginning of 17. Wait.

I don't know that you play them often enough to judge that fairly. The 2012 SEC championship game was decided by 4 points and tbh, UGA should've won that one and both teams would've beaten ND.

As an outside observer, the difference between Richt and Smart isn't much (and that's not an insult -- half your fanbase acts like you weren't any good under Richt when you very much were most years. He just ultimately failed at getting UGA a National Championship).

Richt also just had a longer tenure to produce mediocre seasons/disappointing teams. If Smart stays around as long he'll have some of those too. I think the question for UGA is whether or not Smart can bring home a national title where Richt couldn't.

Bama destroyed richt in 2008 and 2015. Unlike 2017 and 2018, 2012 was not as close as the score indicated. That’s 5 games in 10 seasons.

The facts prove Uga struggled just to finish ranked in richts final 10 seasons. That’s why he was fired. Had he still been producing teams like 2017 and 2018, he would still be our coach, but even his best teams weren’t as good as our past 2.

Back up school status verified.

When you're finished blowing Bama because your football program can't beat Georgia maybe you should go blow Harvard because you're dumb.

The only places that team on paper could argue superiority would be on the offensive side of the ball and it wouldn't be much.

As units, LBers, Dline, Dbacks especially, are all big improvements. The depth is not even worth a discussion. Kirby and Mel should have been talked up a lot more about the job they did with that 2017 defense considering some of the people we had to use in the secondary. It eventually did bite us in the end.

Georgia on your mind? Maybe auburn should be worried about actually beating UGA and BAMA than worrying about UGA and BAMA worrying about each other.

8 wins tops. UGA and BAMA won’t be included.

No we don't and neither does UGA. Those aren't generally laying around.

I don’t think Georgia can beat us right now. That being said, Georgia will be our toughest game outside of Clemson, and anything can happen.

UGA’s defense has some holes to fill, but if recruiting rankings are true, UGA upgrades at almost every position, and most will have some experience. UGA’s offense should be top 3 in the country...if we making the jump, this is the year.

Not BAMA is writing UGA off, but I anticipate if UGA and BAMA meet this year, UGA will throw the kitchen sink and go for broke and play any and every card. That may win a SECC, but I see it could cost a playoff or NC game. Getting BAMA off UGA shoulder could lead to a let down game.

Sorry but it is.We didn't fire the Mark Richt who coached from '01 to '07.We fired the one who was clueless when it came to competing with Urban at UF and Saban @ Bama and who was getting killed on the recruiting trail the last half of his career. His '10 to '13 classes were one of the worst 4 year stretches we've had recruiting since Ray Goff.We were also continually down 5 to 15 scholarship players almost every year. His roster mgt was horrible. You saw what he did at Miami and the condition he left the program in, correct?

Those "mediocre" teams weren't some type of fluke or accident.
He was completely unprepared when it came replacing key members of the team when they left the program.

Kirby might have some "mediocre" years if he stays as long as CMR but it won't because we don't have a full roster or elite players who are going to replace other elite players who leave.

I'm not sure LSU fans understand the meaning of "own".

Besides...that's not what the question was. That explains why LSU academic rankings are down.

Fear no one, respect everyone! Once you give in to fear, you have taken the first step towards losing.
