I'm not surprised...but you'll be in the extreme minority.

You gotta do what's best for you. Don't get hurt playing a meaningless bowl game, costing yourself millions.

A bunch of middle aged dudes mad at a college kid for sitting out a game in pointless bowl game in order to make millions in a couple months. Classic

I suppose there may be some mad LSU fans since that's his team. Some of us just may have more respect for someone who would play for their teammates/school regardless of the draft. It doesn't have to be in any realm near anger.

I guess I would hope the player would want to help out his team in the bowl game but I also can see where he wouldn't want to get hurt before the NFL comes calling. Are these players smart or is this the new millenium mindset,it's all about me ?

Key has undergone two surgeries in the last 5 months (shoulder, hand) as well as playing through a knee injury.

That ship sailed, if you want to sit out for your draft status, you already made that choice. As a fan, these games are fun to watch, but not as much fun when you got your best players just saying 'f this'

Look at it anyway you want, but they’re on scholarship to play football for the university. Those degrees are worth thousands of dollars and it comes across as a slap in the face to sit out a “meaningless” bowl game.

Why pretend to actually know? No one on this board has ever been in Arden Keys situation so how would you really know what you would do? Skipping the bowl game isn't a new thing while we're on it. They use to dress out and only go in for a couple of plays. It's the same thing.

Call it whatever you want. But it's bullshite to skip these games unless you are legitimately injured.

So how would you feel about a guy that is a sure first round pick, and his team gets a 3rd loss. Are you ok with him shutting down for the last 2 or 3 games of the season, since would have been eliminated from the playoffs?

In Arden Key’s case, however, this would be a game he could potentially use to springboard his draft status, especially against a Notre Dame OL with two guys who will be taken high as well.

He's a top-10 pick regardless if he plays or not AND he's played through a myriad of injuries already this fall.

There's no point in playing the Citrus Bowl no matter what your ignorant arse opinion is

I don't think he would be because those are games that matter

The citrus bowl doesn't matter at all

Just like the Sugar Bowl against OU. It didn't matter at all to Alabama so they didn't show up

That is quite the medical history.
