The Mannings just don't strike me as the kind of people that push a kid to go to a school because "dad" played there. Like I said, Archie played at Ole Miss then Peyton turned around and went to Tennessee.

Ole Miss was going on probation at the time, two year bowl ban, I believe even a 2 year tv ban, they were hammered. Had that not happened, it might have been another story.

He will not play his college ball at Alabama. Take that to the bank.

Arch Manning is a high 3* if his name was Arch McGillicutty.

O I understand. I also know how 3rd generation old school ole miss fans feel about LSU. Cooper and Archie to a degree still do a good bit of business in South Louisiana, they are being political about it, but honestly, what do you think Archie and Family think about Coach O?

Alabama - The OC will change 2-5 times in the next 2 to 5 years.. I’m guessing that a QB like Manning would prefer some stability.

The only thing that matters is Saban. I would wager that Sark and Kiffin will be fired before Saban retires

20 games played not counting the few games his JR year. He has 4360 yards passing, 55tds passing, 361 rushing and another 12 on the ground.

No bad for a 3 star

Admittedly I didn't know that. Ole Miss seems to get into a lot of trouble.

Wow, didn't think OM still thought they had a shot with Arch. Guess we haven't been in very many recruiting battles with y'all.

Oxford High School Head Coach - Chris Cutcliffe

David Cutcliffe - Age 67 (is already prime retirement age)

quote:

Quarterback coaching
Eight quarterbacks whom Cutcliffe coached in college have gone on to play in the NFL: Heath Shuler, Peyton Manning, Tee Martin, Eli Manning, Erik Ainge, Thaddeus Lewis, Sean Renfree, and Daniel Jones.

Duke football record:

2019 Duke 5–7 3–5 6th (Coastal)
2020 Duke 2–9 1–9 T–14th

Cutcliffe retires because it's clearly time, moves back to Oxford. Ole Miss pays him handsomely to be an "offensive analyst" and be there for Arch like he was there for Peyton and Eli. Makes sense for Cutcliffe because he'd be closer to his son.

This is an advantage no other school would have.

I think Cooper not being able to play had more to do with it. But both of those together killed Ole Miss with Peyton

Peyton has said he would have gone to OM if Cooper was playing there.

Dog Brewer was the coach, it was bad, much worse than the Freeze stuff. It was closer to what LSU and Bama have been doing for the last 20 years.

I thought that too, and you're probably right. But I saw a youtube clip of Saban on his uncles', I think it's a tv show or maybe a podcast. Anyway, they seemed pretty chummy.

But the problem is, you can’t do that because as everything stands now the trajectory he is on right now is his profession will be as a football player in the NFL. So you absolutely can’t take football out of the equation it is a pivotal part of the equation.

I find it rather interesting that the best Qb coach in the country didn’t even offer him.

I think he will go to an SEC School. I think it will be Bama or GA.
