If his name wasn’t “manning” he’s a 4 star. Average intangibles, not the fastest release. Mainly rated a 5 star due to his name, and his size.

Well you would know what an overrated 5 star dud looks like.. Rattler is something special all right..

I’m blown away that someone hasn’t went up to North Carolina and offered an loaded armor truck full of cash and a can’t lose contract to David Cutcliffe for an offensive position.

If the golden boy is as good as advertised.

Why would they want him to go somewhere where the head coach probably won’t be by the time he enrolls?
Exactly. Although I could see Arch following Lane to Los Angeles.

Why would Cooper be pulling for the Rebs?

Your mocking Archie Manning’s grandson for being named after his Grandpa?

On a SEC website when his dad is SEC royalty?

I mean....I agree with your post, but I don't understand why you would consider Cooper Manning to be SEC royalty.

He is down to Texas, Georgia & Alabama from what I have heard..

I doubt this. Texas will be in a coaching search soon, Kirby is not the head coach for a good QB, maybe Bama?

Ole Miss should be is great shape, maybe Oregon or USC depending on the new coach.

If I'm Arch, I just punt and go to North Dakota St. All this other BS is maddening. Set up shop, workout, grow muscle and play pitch and catch.

He was a freshman WR at OM as well until it was discovered he had a spinal issue and told him not to play football anymore or he would be risking paralysis

You know, Cuts son coaches at Oxford High School... Not a stretch for him to retire close to his son and grandkids, and be a qb analyst for a years for the rebs.

There we go. Makes more sense. I was thinking they found the issue in high school. I had always heard that a lot of people felt Cooper might have been the best athlete of all of them.

You know I am saying this with the understanding that this will not be a positive for LSU if Arch does do this because that means LSU will have to play against him for 3 or 4 years!

But I hope Arch goes to Ole Miss! The Manning’s are Ole Miss and it would be following in a great tradition to go there and I love tradition in college football kinda what makes it great. Although tradition seems to be fading fast in this PC world we now live in.

Regardless if he played football a year (I knew he played for a year and they say he was the best athlete until his injury), 4 years or just was a student who I guarantee grew up going to OM games and pulling for them.

Wouldn’t he pull for OM even if he was a student at OM that grew up a fan of the team or just a student?

I’m sure most sidewalk fans don’t understand people pulling for the school they attended

Take football out of the picture, if he was just joe blow college student where would he be going?

1a- Ole Miss KA or Sigma Nu
1b- Virginia
B- LSU probably chasing high school girlfriend

I mean...maybe? There have been plenty of players whose parents went to a different school than the one they chose. I guess Archie and Eli played there, but Peyton went to Tennessee. A lot of players want to make a name for themselves instead of going to the same school their parent went to. Depends on the person, I guess.

The Mannings just don't strike me as the kind of people that push a kid to go to a school because "dad" played there. Like I said, Archie played at Ole Miss then Peyton turned around and went to Tennessee.

ETA
I should also say that my family moved around a lot, so getting attached to a particular school just doesn't resonate with me. It's hard for me to identify with that kind of mentality. Doesn't mean it's wrong,,,I just don't understand it because I never got that attached to a school.
