Did any of those players sign an NFL contract?
Are you suggesting some rules are ok to break and others are not?

Selective enforcement baw. Sankey is a spineless pussy

quote:I get what you're saying, and I've jimmie-rustled plenty of other fan bases over the years. But this is different. This is a threat by a power-hungry idiot who is threatening to kick LSU - a founding member of the SEC - out of the conference for thought crimes (everything else he tried blew away like a fart in a hurricane).
I’m not being rage baited by anything. All I’m doing is trolling you clowns who are clearly jimmie rustled about the whole thing or you wouldn’t be reacting the way you did.
This is an existential threat; Not just to LSU, but to the entire conference. If you can't see that then I don't know what to say. Throw shade and insults at me over game play, coach faux-pas', and other stuff that's part of the normal flow of a CFB season. That's fair game, and I welcome the smack talk.
But, again, this is different.
This shite Sankey is pulling is dangerous to everyone. Maybe YOU think you're having fun, but it's a fact that Sankey is rage-baiting the rest of the SEC against LSU and can't articulate a single thing they've done except the thought-crime of "possibly intending to break the rules at a future date".
Does that bother you? It should.

Honestly? CFB is so fricked and so far from the game I’ve enjoyed watching all my life that if they completely burn the whole thing down, I’ll find another hobby. Probably should’ve already.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll miss it. But it’s not what it was and the whole thing might just need to be burned to the ground.

quote:On that, I think we can both agree. The enshittification of CFB for maximum revenue has destroyed the game I came to love when I was a young kid ushering fans to their seats during the Ensminger/Woodley era.

I'm hoping at some point that things change for the better. I think the old days of (somewhat) truly amateur athletics is gone. That doesn't mean something equally enjoyable can't eventually rise from the ashes.
But what we have now ain't it, for certain.

Not an SEC rule. Follow the context of the thread. I realize that’s difficult.
Move those goalposts

It’s quite literally in the OP title.

Sarcastically, sure
It’s amazing to see OM defend this but I understand why, honestly. The hypocrisy is that the SEC simply allowed the State SC decision and didn’t contest it.
OM would be staring at 3-5 losses without TC
