Bama has 13 NCs.
LSU has 3. If we do a share as long as we all recognize 4 for LSU and 14 for Bama I'm cool with it.

After Bama won it in 64' they changed the rules to be voted on after the bowl. That was perfect because we went in to the bowls #4 in 65' and came out #1 afterwards. So, back to back NC's based on the rules of the day. They worked in our favor.
Today, to win the BCS, which is the most respected poll, you have to win the NC game. Just like 64' and 65' the rules will work in our favor again.
Look, you guys should be happy about winning the SEC. That's a big deal.

If LSU counted championships like Alabama does.. we'd have a hell of a lot more than 3.

All 13 of Bama's are nationally recognized by anyone who isn't a complete moron. Everyone recognizes LSU having only 3. That's how it is, doesn't matter who does what how.

well, we definitely have that pretty gold football from 2007 in our trophy case as i am sure bama and auburn do also from the last 2 years. real simple.
last i checked the AP was a part of the bcs in 2003 no? They are NOT NOW! so they should not have claimed a diferent NC like they can do now. Did usc play OU or LSU in the regular season and beat them like LSU did this year to bama already? ALso, last i checked USC did not play in the BCSNC game like Bama and LSU are doing. connect the dots. it is not really hard at all.

If you win you get the hardware if you don't you get a check and a pat on the back. That statement applies to either team the rest is your opinion and wrong.

If LSU gets a split national championship by being #1 in the AP polls, wouldn't that make them the equivalent of 2003 USC?
