Nebraska got things rolling about mid way thru last season and finished 4-3 over their last seven with a 3 point loss at NW, a 5 point loss at Ohio St., and a 3 point loss at Iowa.
Given their national brand and coach's perceived potential, it's not surprising to see the AP put them in. Plus their schedule sets up nice with all their road games against trash teams.

Pretty surprised they didn't manipulate Miami in to have a ranked opening matchup for this weekend.
