Alabama would be better off to lose to AU. They would still get in the playoff and not have to play a extra game.

Slowly processing all of those Big Ten pretenders from the top 10.

Last time LSU lost by a last minute touchdown to Bama we fell ten spots.
I think yall should have vaulted about 15 spots last week after that 2 TD almost win. AP hates LSU and fails to see milestones reached by the Bayou Bengals

who would have put money on FSU being 3-6 on the season

Nd is picked high for some reasons every year. As the season wears on & they have to play a descent team they get their arse handed to them!

I'll get flamed for this (I know...Troy), but this LSU team would beat at least 10 teams ranked ahead of us...on the road.
Stanford
Washington
Washington St.
Notre Dame (really???)
USC (west)
UCF (really???)
Memphis (really???)
Georgia (you bet your arse we'd beat you - next to ND and Memphis, may be most over-rated)
TCU (easy win for the Tigers)
Michigan
Penn St.
Ohio St.
Miss St. (I want a rematch...lol)
We already beat AU, so I won't be redundant
Three or four of the above would be good games. The others would easily be two or three score victories for LSU.
We'll get one of them in a bowl game, and prove it on the field. Hopefully it's Wisconsin, Ohio St., Michigan, or Penn St. In that order. We owe Wisconsin.

Notre Dame is still living off past accomplishments. As the sports writers have gotten older and retired it is not as bad as it was in the 80's and 90's. I still think they are pressured to vote them higher due to their huge fanbase in the Northeast. When I lived in Pennsylvania in the 90's their fans were pretty dillusional. Even after 2 losses early in the season they were talking National Championship run.

First, you have State listed and you got blown out in that one.
Second, and thankfully I don't see Troy on the list.
Having lost to those two as you did, LSU is fully capable of losing to each and everyone of those you list. Fact.

So...which of those teams beat us, and why? Have you watched them all play? I have, except for a couple. Miss St. would beat most, if not all, of them too. The ones I listed are either down this year, or would just be manhandled by us. Defense...we play it down here, and most of them couldn't spell it.

I said I wanted a rematch with State, which is why they're listed. Also...and be honest here, do you really believe that LSU would lose again to Troy if they played 20 times?

2 votes?
frick off AP poll
Fun fact: the one voter who put South Carolina at #24 (giving them their 2 points) was one of just 2 voters to leave Mississippi State off his ballot.
Considering how Mississippi State beat the shite out of Kentucky (who won in Columbia LOL), Louisiana Tech (who lost by just 1 in Columbia LOL), and Texas A&M (who beat South Carolina, but not worthy of a LOL), I think it's safe to say this dummy should have his voting privileges revoked and the results adjusted accordingly.

Are you not aware of the fact that teams can get better as the season goes on?
Are you being facetious or you a fricking moron? Never mind, Bama fan. Already know the answer

Of course they can, but the rankings should represent what actually happened, not what hypothetically might if the teams played again.
LSU lost to Troy and got the shite beat out of them by Mississippi State, and voters should take those games into account in their ballots, regardless of whether they think the results would repeat themselves or not.

Careful... It's too easy to rile up LSU fans.

It doesn't count as "easy' if you spend 72 hours making non stop LSU threads like that little monkey has been doing.
