I feel for USCe, they were put in a really strange place with that Final Four by Frank

Torvik is probably the most used for that. You can click on a team and then select Teamcast to have some fun with projections.
So with Arkansas winning out Torvik has Arkansas as a 4 seed and NET of 19.
We're currently at a NET of 22 or 23. I can guarantee you if we win out, our NET will rise more than 3 or 4 spots.

There is so much missing context in terms of how other teams will perform. Its a fun tool but probably not highly accurate on the little details.
The climb in NET certainly gets harder to make as the season goes on and the higher you go up.

Also the NET seems to be nearly completely stagnant once you get into the Top 20-25.
LSU has been somewhere between 12-16 for like 8 weeks now, and they've been all over the map. Same with Alabama, we've been between 20-25 for like 8 weeks.

While this is true, both LSU and Bama have lost some games too.
I’d bet anything that if Arkansas beats Florida, Kentucky, LSU, and Tennessee to finish the season, their NET will be in the top 12 or so.

Lol, even the media members seen what everyone else seen this weekend. Arkansas got lucky and needed help.

The bigger question Tennessee fans should be asking themselves is Why is Tennessee so bad on the road?
Regular Season Rick is a world-beater inside of TBA but as soon as there’s some adversity, they fold and blame everyone but themselves. Blaming the refs won’t help you in March brudda.

These Vol melts are freaking awesome. The best part it apparently is the gift that keeps giving. Literally blaming 4 charges as the reason they lost by 10. Never mind our leading scorer, 1st team all sec guard, fouled out after only playing like 12 minutes the entire game. Hilarious, their bully ball got out bullied.

Impossible, we play LSU.

We will probably end up a 4-6 seed.

VolMarine1371,
Poor sport is what you are and I am SO glad the Hog fans flipped off your dumb players. We'll get you again at your own place, bank it!

VolMarine1371,
You Vol fans have no bragging rights after ya'll just lost. Don't blame the refs, don't blame the Hogs but blame the Vols for their shitty game!

Alabama went 4-2 with wins vs Baylor, Arkansas, State and a road win and had losses to the #10 and #3 teams on the road. They didn't move an inch.
We started at #24 back when we were like 9-2 and ranked #10 in the AP and have moved between #22 and 24 ever since. It's pretty frickin wild.

Which of those charging calls cause Tennessee to shot 27% from the field?
Posted on 2/21/22 at 6:01 pm to rockiee
We will 100% be a 3 seed if we win out.
It would add
road win vs a bubble team
Top 5 win at home vs Kentucky
Home win against tournament team
Road win against top 20 team.
Finish the season 25-6 and 2nd place in the SEC. I don’t see Auburn losing two more or it would give us the league.
Saying all that I think we go 3-1 down that stretch at worst 2-2
Win tomorrow and beat LSU.
Take one of Kentucky and TN

If we happen to walk out of Tennessee with a win (tall task), I expect many a mustard bottle to be tossed on the court.

But yet still ranked behind Tennessee in both AP and coaches poll’s.

If Arkansas wins their next four I'd be all for them getting a 2 seed with that finish.
However, I wouldn't count on the NET moving nearly as much as you're saying.
It seems that the new way they're calculating NET with the emphasis on efficiency stats just isn't giving as much bump for beating other top teams as it should be.
I would guess it's that beating Kentucky or Auburn or Baylor or Gonzaga 79-75 isn't creating nearly as much shift in the stats these efficiency numbers use as early season blowouts where a team shot 70% and held their opponents to 20%.
That's something they really need to fix for next season.
However, with so many people talking about this, the committee may be more willing to look over NET where other resume points stick out when doing the seeding.
