Anything Weirder Than Internet Posters Bragging About Their School Having Rich Alumni?

Especially when said people probably can’t rub two nickels together themselves?
All this talk of endowments and rich boosters and bragging about it like it is your own personal money is really strange.
I guess if you can’t win on the field, bragging about someone else’s money is the next best alternative.

I’m personally comfortable. I don’t concern myself with other people’s finances because they attended the same school as me.

I’m more of a rub two dollar coins together kind of guy

Sorry your boosters are poor.

You got me bro.
Pretty sure the athletic budget is healthy considering it supplements the school

This is going to be a fun story for the LSU coaches to tell recruits and their families.

I personally don’t find it as weird as people who brag about the football accomplishments of a University that they never actually attended. These same people have the notion that being born into the same state, or being born into a family of graduates, gives them a legitimate claim to that success.
Maybe that is weird because every Aggie fan I know, from billionaires to poor college kids, have a real tie to A&M.

Retaining a coach?

Retaining the best DC after a rival offered him the world to come work for them.

It’s no surprise that Aggie fans love talking about how well endowed other men are.

“Dem Aggies dey comin for arana, but boy now arana gotta bigga contract den me.”
I am sure recruits will love the fact that your AD is more committed to an assistant coach than the head coach. Most top programs work that way from what I understand.

It’s a different situation in Louisiana. LSU is the sole, big power school. From what I’ve experienced in Texas, there are a shite ton of UT fans that have no relation to the school here and there would likely be a hell of a lot more if there weren’t a few other big football schools in the state.

Fitting that Aggie only knows how top programs run from second-hand sources.

Well let’s see- one historical rival gives an assistant a bigger contract than the head coach, the other has a head coach that kisses men. And these are the programs that are our natural measuring sticks.
Is it any wonder A&M is so fricked up with role models like that? That is where the dickride Bama thing came from, we need a new perspective.
