A 2-loss SEC Champ will probably not make the playoff.
We were all duped into thinking a 4 team playoff would be good for the SEC.

It will be. A 1 loss SEC champion can easily be left out for 2 undefeated teams.
It would have happened last year for example. If OSU beats Mich State, Auburn doesn't go to the title game.
The year before, if OSU weren't on probation they most likely go instead of Alabama.
The playoff eliminates the possibility that a 1 loss SEC champ gets left out for 2 scrub undefeated teams.
A 2 loss SEC champ might STILL make it. It's not a guarantee but it's int he cards. LSU had 2 losses and managed to finish in the top #2. Finishing in the top #4 with 2 losses happens frequently.
The 4 team playoff benefits everyone and that's why it exists. SEC fans deluded themselves into thinking it was created so that 2 SEC teams would get it but that simply isn't going to happen the vast, vast majority of the time.
Most of the time the playoff is going to be the top 4 big conference champions. It's that simple.

I don't know if I'd agree with that.
Take a look at the past eight or so years:
2013: FSU, Auburn, Michigan State, Alabama (Stanford could have snuck in here, as their SoS was really good and they were conference champs of the second-toughest conference, but I don't think so)
2012: Notre Dame, Alabama, Oregon, Florida (OSU if they had been eligible)
2011: LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma State, Stanford
2010: Auburn, Oregon, TCU, Wisconsin (again Stanford could have snuck in here)
2009: Alabama, Texas, TCU, Boise State (Florida could have snuck in here)
2008: Florida, Oklahoma, USC, Utah (Texas would have had a shot)
2007: LSU, Ohio State, UGA, USC (with any one of Mizzou/Kansas/WVU having a shot to take UGA's slot)
2006: Ohio State, Florida, LSU, USC (Boise State and Louisville may have had a shot here)
That's only one or two years where it maybe would have worked out with four of the five big conference champions would have played (2007 and 2013). Most of those teams listed above were clear-cut inclusions in the playoffs.
Also, another impression: the PAC 12 has definitely been the second-best conference in recent years. They had a serious contender every single year except one listed above (2009). I wish we'd see more SEC/PAC 12 games.

Hey look another retarded aggie fan who thinks high school success instantly means you will be great in the hardest conference in football. Are you fricking kidding me? I bet you can't even remember who the #1 QB recruit was last year.

Just don't be mad when Dylan Thompson plays like crap this year.

Using the final BCS rankings is only a decent rule of thumb. The whole reason they have a committee is to avoid a cluster like 3 teams fromt eh same conference going.
If #4 is not a conference winner and #5 is and it's really close between the two, #5 is gonna get the nod.

It will eventually happen. When it does, the push for 8 teams begins
Agree.
I could see the SEC getting shutout under special circumstances with four.
And also see them getting 3 out of 8 in an eight team playoff.
