There's no way the best conference in college football won't have a team in the playoffs.

How many years in a row has the SEC champ made the BCS championship game
And that pissed off the rest of the college football world, and now the selections are done in a back room instead of using a predetermined formula. My bet is the SEC won't have any allies in that room, and if there's a way to exclude us, they will. And don't forget, our marquee bowls last season were both losses, so we aren't king of the mountain anymore.

I rarely agree with TeLeFaWx, but he's dead-on here. If someone has a better record, we're behind them. What's more, we are behind FSU and probably Oklahoma if we're tied with them.

Scenario: Oregon, Ohio St, Oklahoma, Florida St, Notre Dame and (pick your SEC team) all finish with 1 loss. Which 4 gets in?

My guess: Fla St gets in, by virtue of being the defending champ. Oregon with the glamour offense gets in, too. Then, it gets tricky; both Ohio St and Notre Dame will get a lot of national love, and Oklahoma can say they beat Bama's doors off last season. I'd say if it's Bama they get the media love; but otherwise it might be a shitty selection day for the SEC.

He doesn't play in high school he plays in the SEC. I don't get what's so hard about this.

Our best QBs are gone, so expect lower scoring affairs which means lots of games will be decided by good (or bad, depending on your allegiance) luck.

Imagine if JFF had stayed and played with everybody else going. 1 more year to mature and his draft stock probably goes up. Most importantly he would not have wound up with the career ending Browns.

Come on, you can figure this out

Why are A&M fans even commenting in this thread. They had one of the greatest qb's according to them in history and still couldn't win shite.

Yes, stacked committee mean 1 slot for PAC and 1 for B1G. That leaves 2 slots split between ACC / SEC / B12 / Notre Dame.

Absolultley think, SEC champ gets left out this year.
Champion could very easily have 2 losses.
Favorited of the other p5 conferences, have 1-2 game schedules.
Conference champion is going to mean a lot more to the commitee .

It will eventually happen. When it does, the push for 8 teams begins

If the SEC champion has 2/3 losses and has been unimpressive and the other major conference winners are undefeated/1 loss it could happen.

It's unlikely but certainly a possibility.

Just because bama ain't getting in doesn't mean no one else will. Typical bammer mindset "we are the sec". Gimme a break.
