I live in CO and my son went to CSU, so I know a little more about Harsin. Also, being an Aggie I followed him when he was with Mack Brown at Texas

He is a Petersen disciple, but his teams haven't been on the level of Petersen at Boise. He was rumored to be on the outs at Boise for being difficult to work with, but I would take that with a grain of salt. Trick plays, and tons of motion. I would see him in the BDF before the SEC. He was a terrible failure with Mack Brown at Texas.

Like I said, interesting hire. I thought Auburn could do a lot better. Though I'm glad they didn't

3 and fricking 7. Jesus Christ. I've never seen a fan base thump their fricking chest so much over a three win season.

You keep posting this same shite.

Harsin's win percentage at Boise is .769

Is this supposed to impress me? It's the Mountain West and he was the only coach who couldn't crack .800

They just joined the mountain west in 2010. The coaches before him were winning in the MAC.

The year before he came to Austin as OC the Horns finished 5-7 and were 81st in FBS in yards per play at 5.23. Scoring offense was worse (23.8 ppg, good for #88).

By his second season in 2012 they averaged a full yard per play better (6.34), good enough for 22nd in FBS. UTx finished the year averaging 35.3 ppg, good for 23rd in the nation.

In what way was he a “terrible failure”?

Looks like a solid hire to me. The guy has led a D1 program with tons of success. It was a better hire than Pruitt, Pittman, or Leach.

He was brought in to save Mack Brown's job. instead, he worked against Brown in the hopes he would get the job when Brown was gone. His results were mediocre, but a poison pill in coaches room. I think he's been good at riding coattails most of his career

My first post focused on the last 20 years so no, Nutt was not included since he left in 1997.

I wouldn't worry about it. Harsin is definitely a better coach than Morris.
