Any other Bama fans rooting for Auburn against Clemson?
What the frick does that have to do with the football team?

You realize that we have a couple loony fans that, by your logic, give everyone a reason to never root for our team.

Pull for Auburn? Is this some sort of backhanded psychological trick; as in "I care so little about Auburn that I pull for them OOC"?

Not me. Hell no. I hope they lose every game they play and forfeit every game they've already won.

I apologize if this makes me an a-hole but that is some irrelevant shite that you posted.

touche, but I think it's always relevant to put Auburn in a negative light if at all possible, right...

well I am an a-hole and I don't and never have given 2 shits for the Olympics so it probably just struck me wrong

As far as AU in a negative light I have always adhered to the principle if Bama takes care of business on the field all that other yayaya'ing that goes on really don't matter a frick

It's no psychological trick. I truly don't give much of a frick about Auburn. I hardly watch them. I don't really follow them. It's nothing like my hatred for Tennessee, and there are about 7 other SEC teams I'd rather watch than Auburn.

Quentin Groves went up a led a chorus of "Rammer Jammer Yellowhammer, Go to hell Alabama".

When I first saw that other teams did that to our song it pissed me off, but now I see it differently. I realize now that doing that shows the world their own program is inferior enough to feel the need use our own chant against.

I would never sing "hotty toddy" at beating Ole Miss, or "Rocky Top" at beating UT, nor would I ever dream of saying "weagle, weagle" after winning the Iron Bowl. You don't do that petty shite when you're the best.

eta for typos

Yeah, that shite is pathetic. Singing the other team's cheer.

I would say that around 90-95% of Alabama fans would prefer that auburn never won another game. I'm in that group. Everyone I know is in that group. We compete against auburn for the division title and on the recruiting trail. There is never a positive for Alabama resulting from an auburn win. It might not hurt us, but it doesn't help either.

Before any aub quotes this and tries to get high and mighty, your fanbase is the same way, only the number is 99-99.9999%

For older Bama fans, the hatred for UT is much stronger.

It's definitely possible. An Auburn win could put Bama in the SECCG. I'm not sure if this has happened before.

I know one season, in the 70s or 80s, if we had beat Auburn in the IB, we'd have gone to Shreveport for the Independence Bowl. If we lost, we were going to Hawaii for the Aloha Bowl. Some [bad] Bama fans secretly wanted us to lose.

In a bar? Yeah.

In the stadium with the band playing accompaniment? Never.

Don't care one way or another. Auburn is irrelevant now. I am pretty sure Bama will beat them by 40 in November.... That is all...
