re: Any Notre Dame fans here that have logical reasons they should have made the playoff?

Tulane is in their spot and JMU is in Vandy's. Nobody wants to see these teams play. Tulane already lost to Ole Miss by 35. Imagine ND in Oxford. Imagine Vandy in Eugene. People would actually watch those games.
Agree. Which tells me that they don’t give two shits about what America wants. As soon as the corporate money got thrown into the playoff, the fans’ interests was always going to be way down the priority list

It's inclusivity vs merit.
Simple as. This shite has crept into every aspect of our culture.
Geeks on Twitter are saying ND is better than Miami because of metrics. Umm... they played FFS.
People would believe AI and "metrics" describe an event they witnessed with their own eyes.
It's dumb.
But if Tulane and JMU are excluded, you get Vandy and ND. Nobody would be mad at BAMA making it except for perhaps Tejas.
These non-power 4 teams were supposed to be an exceptional outlier, not an auto bid.
JMU lost to Louisville by two scores. No knock on Louisville, they crushed UK, but JMU losing better than UK to an 8-4 team isn't "special."
I had no problem with Boise last year. They were undefeated and didn't really keep out another deserving team. Did I want BAMA in? Sure, but BAMA lost to Michigan so they didn't deserve a playoff spot.

conference champ loss was not supposed to affect your standing.
They talk out of both sides their mouth. They claim this but dropped BYU and OSU. But bama gets gang raped and they held.

The only argument ND has is against Alabama. No argument against a team that beat them head to head with same record

Ai is equally impressive in both getting things right and getting things wrong.... Still amazed at how dumb it can be.

The biggest issue for ND is their arrogance. They have had the option to play in a conference and chose not to. They also lost to Miami head-to-head. The only injustice in all of this was ranking ND so high to start and ahead of Miami and then dropping ND for not playing or losing the last week. If the committee would have had Miami ranked ahead of them from the first ranking this would not be an issue.
A loss is still a loss no matter what the outcome. It shows up the same in the WL column.
Stop showing your bias.
BYU not only lost their conference CG to TTU but to them in the regular season. Alabama already beat UGA so totally different situation.
The only thing I agree with you on.

Miami had losses by 9 points combined to two 8 win teams + a top 12 win.
ND had losses by 4 points combined to two top 12 teams.
Bama had a 14 pt loss alone to a 5-7 FSU team
A loss is still a loss no matter what the outcome. It shows up the same in the WL column.

How? OSU got beat by a lower ranked team and dropped one spot. Are you saying UGA or TTU if they lost they should not drop?
Also BYU dropped out because they lost twice to TTU as Alabama beat UGA already once. Again a totally different situation.

Yeah, but that drop was understandable since Indiana and OSU both played each other. They simply honored the head to head in that case.
