We are getting beat up pretty badly this year. We are lacking in SEC quality pitching and the position players are still getting moved around a good bit. I think Cohen is going to have a pretty good class coming in. I like John and think he was the absolutely right choice. He will get us back to Hoover and beyond - but not this year.

Autozone Park in Memphis would be nice. I know It'll probably never be played there but if the tourney was rotated to different locations every so often I'd love to see Memphis in the rotation. Actual seat numbers seem low at 12,512 but they also have a big grass hill in left field that they sell like $5 tickets to and you just sit on the knoll and watch. Its kinda neat and has capacity for a few more thousand. Beale Street and BBQ with the SEC tourney,

Hoover has been a gracious host. They go beyond what is asked of them to do a good job.
There are people in the metro Bham area that never go to college baseball games, but when the tournament comes around they will attend.
If you start moving it around you are going to lose some of these people. Not too mention the central location of Hoover. If you move it to GA or FL you will kill three of the biggest fan followings in State, LSU, and Ole Miss.
No tournament in Florida will every outdraw Hoover. UGA just set a new attendance record this year and it was only around 3,000. And they are currently number one.
Leave it in Hoover.

I think ti would be hard to move it to Turner Field on any consistant basis, because MLB and the Braves aren't going to want to be forced to schedule around it. I know it is just five days, but still...
Add to that, college baseball doesn't really draw enough to need a major league park that holds 45,000+.
I could see it maybe (maybe) moving around the minor league parks - the new Gwinnett field, Hank Aaron in Mobile, the Disney park in Orlando, the Lookouts park in Chattanooga or the one in Memphis - but why mess with a good thing? The Met seems to do good with it, and it apparently works with the Barons schedule so leave it as is.

If it ever gets moved it will be to memphis. memphis tried to get it out of b'ham when the contract last expired. having b'ham and memphis on a rotation would make sense seeing as how they are both fairly centrally located for most SEC schools.

I think they should move it to Pearl, MS in the nice, 2 yr old MS Braves stadium.
Then, i will only have to drive ten minutes to see my team play.

I also wouldn't have a far drive to see my team play if it were held at the MS Braves stadium. Its a really nice park but just not much going on around Jackson

Trustmark would be convenient for me too but I would still rather go to Hoover.

Why?
That's a waste of money. I wold love for it to be at Trustmark. It's a nice stadium. Plenty of places for people to lodge. Airport 7 mins away. And there would be a Bass Pro for the avid sportsmen right across the street so they could buy themselves a boat in between games.

Leave it in Hoover. But every third or fourth year have it at Turner or in Tampa. Who would that hurt?
Why Tampa? Its hot enough in Hoover I cannot imagine Tampa!!

Hoover is the most central location between all the teams. If you moved the tournament I think you would be taking a big risk on attendance- see the basketball tourney this year.
It's a nice facility in a decent town. I don't see why it should be moved to another obscure location just for the sake of movement.
