Still can't read a defense or make the throws.
It's the physical vs the cognitive.
That said, he's making himself money.

He had a lot of problems last year but reading defenses wasn't one of them.

But he is absolutely terrible at throwing the football and he has a 3 IQ.

It's not 1995 anymore. QBs in the NFL are athletes. Dude just ran a 4.4 and broke several combine records.
He's not a great QB at the moment, but the NFL sees that and knows the potential.

Not a good look for Mullen or billy

Mullen most of all. Dude waited until we played y'all, the toughest defense a kid could possibly see to throw him into the pit.
For whatever reason he was all in on Emory Jones.

He is the QB the late Al Davis would have traded his entire draft away to move up and pick…then fired the head coach 3 years later when Richardson inevitably flames out for not ever learning how to read a defense.

He's not a QB, I think that was proven while he was at UF.
A GM takes him top-10 they should be fired on the spot for gross incompetence.

I think we're going to be really surprised.
I thought he sucked overall but he had areas where he was really good. He would routinely make great reads and passes few qbs can make.
But then he'd miss a guy in the flat five yards away.
I think he was preserving himself to prevent injuries. He'll likely run a lot in the pros.
I think he's going to be good and as a gator fan that will be pretty bittersweet. I don't think he gave us & much more than 50%
Not seeing it.

How did he do as a player playing quarterback for Florida?

To a large degree i thought he needed another year. But as the year went on it became clear someone was telling him "focus on the NFL" and he did just that.
He'll need a team that gives him time and support, but no matter where he lands he'll have way more weapons than uf did last year.

To me this is just typical fans ooh’ing and ahh’ing over freaks of natures running around in tights. Tape does not lie. Horrible mechanics, horrible footwork, horrible accuracy, questionable decision making. But hey he can launch a ball 70 yards, jump over 40 inches and run a 4.4.

He’s terrible though
Luckily he won’t have to play Vandy in the NFL

See I'm a pretty harsh critic of AR but this isn't a good description of his problems.
Very good mechanics, inconsistent footwork, great accuracy in intermediate deep balls, bad accuracy in short passes, very good decision making.
If you were basing that on his first start against UGA that would make sense though.

Today he learned he played the wrong sport

He has problems and he's not NFL ready today.
But - and coming from a gator this should resonate - he played on a terrible team. I can only remember one wr that did anything and he was a transfer.
Give him weapons and a year or two to shadow and those tools could make him a top QB.
It's all about what he does with it. We saw glimpses in college and Gator fans will always wonder what if.

He's likely to be drafted in the top 3 with a huge payday.
What sport should he have played?
