I don't believe this for one second, but the meltdown in gumpland would be absolutely delicious.

To me basketball at UT is a much more important sport than basketball at Bama... and that (and the money they generate from that interest) makes it clearly a better job
Well,I don't care about Missouri and Arkansas, but you could go on for days comparing basketball at Tennessee and Alabama.
UT basketball in the last few years has turned into a small cash cow
It makes sense for them to spend more on a basketball coach. For Alabama spending more on a coach is just an act of vanity
The issue IMO remains the NCAA situation. If everything else were equal UT basketball is presently a better job than Bama basketball coach

Get real bruh.
Oh and good luck finding a decent coach that'll take over that soon to be NCAA sanctioned program.

Being a Tennessee fan, I know a little bit about coaching searches. While I was a student, there were 4 coaching changes. 2 in football, 1 in basketball and 1 in baseball. I've learned to not pay attention to any of the local reporters, even Brent Hubbs. Speculation is just that, speculation. I'll wait until I see a press conference before I get all worked up for someone that probably hasn't even been contacted by the university.

oh i fully expect him to leave once a big name comes calling, just not gunna happen now...

I don't see the sense in making a lateral move to a program that is likely going on probation soon. On top of that he should have a very good nucleus of players returning at Alabama next year and a very good, possibly great recruiting class coming in.

We will hit him up later in the year if Johnson doesn't make the NIT
