People crowned him king AFTER his freshman year when he was actually really good. He got lazy and didn't pan out. It happens often and in all programs. D tackles probably bust more than any other position out there.

at some of these comments, jealous much? LSU is one of the few elite football programs in the nation and they have been for the better part of a decade so deal with it

yes his 2011 season was actually pretty good when you think about it. dude played overweight but got pt as a freshman on one of the best defenses lsu has ever produced.

He is in a different category than Freak though. Shep was overhyped as a recruit and sucked as a player from day 1. Freak was good his freshman and sophomore seasons then fell off the earth.

I've heard from a few people that he was too sweet of a guy. Not kidding at all. They say physically he's as good as it gets but he didn't have that mean streak to him. He couldn't get nasty and be as aggresive as is necessary in the trenches of the SEC.

Read my posts again. Where have I bashed LSU fans? I believed the hype as well and thought he was awesome as a freshman and sophomore. I was asking what happened to him that made his stock plunge so badly.
